1980 Land Rover Other

This is a very nice 1981 Land Rover 109 Wagon LHD imported from the UK. The truck was originally RHD when it was manufactured. The 109 spent its life in Southern France where it was converted to LHD. The frame looks new and has no rust at all, all outriggers are solid and rust free. The 2.25 sounds amazing, a common term in the UK is it sounds like a sewing machine. A big one, but is very smooth with no rattle. I live at almost 8000 ft and the truck starts easily, and runs well. As with the nature of these trucks the steering can be a little vague. The tires are heavy duty and with less tread making contacting can exaggerate the feel. The interior is nice, seats in front are new and second row looks good but are used. All lights work, turn signals, brake lights and running lights. Lower and upper doors are in nice condition, seals need replacing. Front vents open with ease. Heater and piping look new or at least refurbished, all glass is in good condition. Wipers work well. Body is in very nice condition as is bulkhead, there are dents and dings in the body that are commensurate with its age and miles. The paint is good, covers the truck well. However you think the painter sprayed sober one day and then the following went to the local Pub before finishing. Not a bad finish...just not great. Looks good from a few feet away. It is a very solid truck true to its design and ready to give much more life. This are getting harder to find in LHD and the ones coming in that spent a life in the UK are rusty. A great weekend driver, or daily if have a local commute. All proper and legal import docs and clear Colorado title.
