1981 Land Rover Series 3 88 inch Soft top

If you are looking for a boring average car... keep looking. This one gets attention everywhere with plenty of smiles and waves driving down the road. Engine pulls strong, as it scoots along nicely. Paint is not original and isn't perfect, but decent. It does have some dings and dents and chips... etc... Mileage is TMU (true mileage unknown) as the motor was swapped to petrol from the factory diesel by a prior owner. The odometer in the truck shows 79,687. Imported in the early 2000's from UK. Clean PA title.
- Right Hand Drive- seats 6 (inward facing bench seats in rear)- Rocky Mountain Alloy door tops- canvas top is in great shape- Parabolic Springs- 2.25 petrol motor- electric fuel pump added for peace of mind supply- pertronix distributor and coil- hi torque starter- Firestone Destination M/T 235/85/R16 with decent tread life- full hoop set and top- Tuffy box console- the Series 3 dash has been removed, for custom look- rubber floor mats included- MudUK door cards- Smiths rectangular flat heater- new muffler- bulkhead is solid- chassis is solid with some repairs done prior (rear crossmember)- tub floor and supports have seen better days (worst corrosion on truck) - 5 bar floor pan installed with rubber liner- axles have typical surface corrosion but swivels look in great shape- leaks as all true rovers do… let’s you know they are not empty- comes with D1 jack and HF bar and socket- HiLift on bumper is for looks as the bar is bent from a slight fender bender from prior owner (bumper end tweaked, scuffed wing and door, and rear fender).
This one is not a trailer queen and it is ready to drive! I try to keep the fluids moving each week… so mileage may go up… but sadly this one needs a new home so I can focus on my other rover projects… let me know if you have any questions!
