1981 Land Rover Other Series 3 Soft top

1981 Land Rover Series 3, UK import right hand drive. Ebay doesn't recognize the VIN (SALLbaag1aa132628). Obviously the 88 inch wheelbase. This is good clean running truck. Engine pulls strong (as strong as a 2.25 can) and transmission / transfer case shift smoothly (as smoothly as the 4 speed can)! good looking truck that scoots along nicely. Paint isn't perfect, but cleans up well. It’s a good 20 footer… Dare I call it, some patina. Mileage is TMU as the motor was swapped from diesel by a prior owner, but the odometer shows 79687 (who knows if its even the original odo)...- Right Hand Drive- seats 6 (inward facing bench seats in rear)- Rocky Mountain Alloy door tops- canvas top is in great shape- Parabolic Springs- 2.25 petrol motor- electric fuel pump added for peace of mind supply- pertonix distributor and coil- hi torque starter- Firestone Destination M/T 235/85/R16- full hoop set and top- Tuffy box console- dash has been deleted, for custom look- floor mats- MudUK door cards- Smiths rectangular flat heater- new muffler- bulkhead is solid- chassis and axles have typical east coast corrosion but still in good shape and solid, some repairs have been made under prior ownership- tub floor and supports have seen better days (worst corrosion on truck) - 5 bar floor pan installed with rubber liner-leaks as all true rovers do… let’s you know they are not empty-comes with D1 jack and HF bar and socket-HiLift on bumper is for looks as the bar is bent from a slight fender bender from prior owner (bumper end tweaked, scuffed wing and door, and rear fender).
Clean title and ready to drive! I drive this a few times each week… so mileage will go up… but sadly this one needs a new home so I can focus on my other rover projects… let me know if you have any questions!
