1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

This beauty could be quite a challenge to restore but is a running car with many useable parts. It was left as yard art for me after a real estate purchase and I have no use for it as I know nothing about Volkswagens and have no time or desire to work on it. I untarped it, towed it home, got it running and drove it around my property for about an hour and here it sits two years later, wanting a new home. The non-op title lists it as a '65 but the chassis appears to be a '70, the vin# on the chassis differs from the title.The titlewas legitimately signed by the priorlegal owner of this vehicle during the real estate transaction leaving me as legal owner, I have not registered it into my name but I hold the releasedtitle. aside from that,I have no knowledge of the history of this vehicle. What I do know is that it runs, transmission and clutch works, steering seems tight, doors open and close well, brakes and e-brake works and the glass is good.Floor pans are in tact but with rust and minor daylight showing through, the rest of the body has no body rot, just some surface rust. A local buyer could actually drive it home with a proper permit or I have a towbar I will throw in if needed. I have the rear license plate but not the front.I do not have the missing running boards or bumpers, I am selling it as is andwhere is. What you see in the pictures is what you are bidding on.
