1964 Chevrolet Corvair.convertible PG, located in central Florida (near Mouse Town!) ZIP 34714. Cheap to clear! I have been using this car as a daily driver for 2 or 3 years now, but she needs welding underneath at the back. Some welding has already been done by a previous owner to the floorpans and various other body areas. The engine runs perfectly well but in all honesty it is probably a bit tired & smokes if left idling for any length of time. The good old powerglide transmission is just fine as they always are, as are the rest of the mechanicals. Engine and transmission are out at the moment - not sure what engine it has, but it doesn't have the viscous damper so is an early type. So here's a cheap project for somebody or a good source of spares. It has various accessories, for what they're worth, such as cruise control (no idea if it works!), amplifier etc. I need to get it moved off my drive ASAP as the HOA are complaining! - I do have an engine crane to lift the motor but I'm leaving town in a couple of weeks for a visit to my native UK. Oh, I forgot to mention, the convertible top was ripped to shreds by a violent Florida hailstorm a couple of weeks ago, & the car is currently protected from the elements by an Autozone car cover.
