Description:

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

I bought this car last month from a small used car dealer in Alabama. I didn't go look at before I bought it. Big mistake. I had it shipped to me in Texas. I was told it is an SS. I'm not so sure about that. It does have the round gauges that appear to be original but I won't guarantee that. I'm not an expert on Chevelles so you decide. I don't have any documents or paperwork on the car. The paint code is 25 25 Astro Blue. The interior code is 753 Black.
You can see in the pictures that the car needs a lot of work. I don't have the skills to do it or the money to pay someone to restore it. The floors need replacing and the trunk pan needs replacing. Someone patched them but did a poor job of it. The quarter panels have been patched also and need replacing.
The motor is a 454 from 1973 and it needs rebuilding. It is stamped on the pad behind the alternator with T1222CWL 03J.. Probably bored .30 over at some point. The transmission is a turbo 400 which probably needs rebuilding. The rear end is a 12 bolt posi-trac with 3:31 gears. It is stamped RVC 116 2. I think it is from 1971 according to Chevelle Stuff. The car has boxed trailing arms and rear sway bar. The car has front disc brakes and drum rear brakes.
There are some good things but not much. Both bumpers are new. The front seat has been recovered with new seat covers. The emblems are new. The hood pins are new and it has a cowl hood.. It has four original 14 inch SS wheels.
The car needs more than I can give it. I have a nice 1972 Chevelle that I'm working on so this one needs to go. I have a clear Texas title in my name ready to sign over. I have described the car as honestly as I can. Come see it. Ask questions. Message me. I'm available anytime. I'm retired and ready to sell. No reserve.

I want to make it very clear. The car does not start or run. It is missing too many parts. The motor does not turn over. The driveshaft is missing. It was an AC car but that's missing. The rear shocks are missing. Please ask questions before you bid. I don't want anyone to be surprised or disappointed with the car.
