Description:

1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu

I am relisting this car because the previous high bidder did not contact me after the auction ended about payment or pick up. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU PLAN TO PAY FOR AND COME PICK UP THIS CAR IN PA. This is a 1965 chevelle project car. In need of a full restoration. I intended to build the car as an L79 SS 4 speed clone, but I have too many projects and I will probably never get to it. I planned to make the car white with an aqua bucket seat interior. I have many of the new interior parts to do this including door panels, seat covers (front seats are done), headliner (still in box), and the dashpad. For the interior the car also comes with an original tilt seeting column (converted to floor shift), a supersport gauge dash cluster, and other random trim pieces. The motor is a 327 that was freshend up with L79 parts. As you can see from the pics it has .040 over flat top pistons, an L79 intake and chome parts (air claner/ valve covers), and 462 heads. The motor also has a brand new reproduction cam ground to L79 specs, maching valve springs, a new timing chain, and a new oil pump. Now the bad. The body needs a lot of metal work as you can see in the pics. The floors are pretty solid and will require some work, but the quarters and trunk floor will need replaced. I do have some quarter skins removed from other cars that will go with it, as well as some other sheetmetal repair sections. The hood, trunk, and doors all apear very solid, but the fenders will need work. The frame on the car looks very clean with no rot that I can see. In addition, the car comes with a saginaw 4 speed transmission (no shifter) and a set of front 69-72 style disc brakes to replace the front drums. I also have many other parts I would be willing to sell to the winning bidder at an additional price (items such as a factory dash top clock, tach, muncie four speed, factory tinted side class, SS hubcaps, ect.) Winning bidder to pay 500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction through Paypal and arrange for local pick up after car is paid in full in cash. I have a clear PA title for this car in my name. Please message me with any questions. Note: The title shows SDN (sedan), but the car is a coupe. However, the VIN does show 37 in the 4th and 5th digits so it is correct for the car. A 2 door sedan would have the number 11 in those digits. You can have this corrected when transfering the title if it is a problem to you. This probably would not matter to most, but I just want to be as clear about the car as possible. Just to be clear, as it states in the above description, the car is not an original SS and the engine is not an original L79. I was just going to build it as a tribute/ clone.
