Vehicle Details

Up for auction, 1970 Chevelle SS 454 Muncie 4 speed 12 bolt. I have decided to auction off my 70 SS big block Chevelle. Basically this is a running, driving car completely rebuilt from tip to tail. The engine is a 454 casting number 14015445.. this is an LS7 casting however I can't pull any numbers off the front pad so no info beyond that. This is a 4 bolt main block, all new bearings, pistons, rings, cam, lifers, etc. The aluminum heads are new from Assault. The crank is new from Eagle and the heads are rectangle port with 122cc 330cc. The rods are H beam. The compression is right about 10-1 and everything for the engine was selected to make it a close to a correct LS6 as possible with the exception of the aluminum heads. The intake is Edelbrock and the carb is Holley. The alternator is a one wire from Jegs. At this point the engine should still be considered in its break in period because I have only put a little over 40 miles on it. An alignment would be a good idea however its close. The A arms and other factory suspension components have all been powder coated. The Muncie 4 speed is a 68-70 close ratio casting number 3925660. The 4 speed and G.M 12 bolt both came from Jims Chevelle Alley and have been totally gone through. The 12 bolt is all new drum to drum with C-clip eliminators 4.11 gears and limited slip. It is a casting 3959038NF which is late model 1969.

As for the frame, it was brought in from The Frame Shop and has been cleaned and painted. All the correct SS brackets and braces are present. The body was set back on using all new bushings. A correct manual steering gearbox was installed and all moving components of the steering and suspension are new correct SS Chevelle & powder coated. The front brakes are new disc and all brake and fuel lines are new from Restoration Worlds. The new drive shaft was built and balanced at Lima Clutch and Joint.

The front and rear glass were installed by The Glass Man and the side glasses work fine and all soft seals inside and out are replaced. The complete wiring harness and fuse box have been replaced along with all lights, lenses etc. The carpet, seat covers, headliner, door panels etc are all new. Barry's Upolstery did the interior.

The new custom exhaust system is built using an X pipe system and new correct part number LS6 exhaust rod tips finish it off.

The cowl induction works and is shut when the engine is at idle or normal driving and opens under heavy throttle. The paint and body work are still in a state of non completion. The low gloss black was put on the body just to keep it rust free until I could get a body guy lined up and the stripes were added just for the hell of it to make it look better. Please know this car is awesome but not finished and not perfect. The main item is the body still needing finished and the dash may need a new printed circuit board installed because the gauges are hit and miss and the speedo cable broke years ago. If you can live with those issues then your home free.

The title is a clear Ohio title in my name. I have owned this car for 3 years and have driven it on several occasions but not actually put any serious miles on it and it has never been abused.

A NON-REFUNDABLE $1000.00 deposit is due at auction end within 24 hours.. full payment is due within 3 days, pick up due within 2 weeks or storage fees will be assessed for pick up. I'm happy to work with shippers or feel free to come in person. Thanks.
