1968 Ford F-250

This 1968 F250 has been in the family since 1969. It was sold to a collector about 13 years ago. I missed the truck and bought it back from the guy I sold it to 3 years later. The bed is from an old International Harvester truck. The flatbed was rebuilt with Teak Wood sides about 55 years ago, and is still serviceable. My father installed his hand-built 390 about 40 years ago. This motor still runs strong! There are some modifications for this engine to fit. The 390 is equipped with factory headers, 2 years new Holley 650 4bbl, and a 4 speed Borg Warner standard transmission. The speedometer does not work due to a stripped gear. The transmission would have to be taken apart to repair. I wasn't going to tear apart a good transmission for a $10 part. With exception of the transmission, I have had the drive line rebuilt from clutch to axle. I rear axle mounts replaced. I had power steering and brakes installed by a local mechanic in San Jose, CA after I bought it back. The truck has been sitting in my garage in Palm Springs for roughly 4 years on and off. Local hardware store runs and the gravel yard for my landscaping. The truck drives like an old truck built to haul loads. The engine has plenty of power. If you are not familiar with an old 4 speed Borg-Warner standard transmission you will be challenged. It is a beast! And... Lots of fun to cruise around once you get the hang of it!!I'm located in San Jose, Ca.. I will need ample notice (7 days) for viewing or shipping preparation.Quickie Videos link below:https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/zw10f40ypchnqk1kp4qom/ABrZMKiq-esAeUCAMfPuEyI?rlkey=u9uxpfy9pg5iwu52yqbjzqjr3&st=5bgvee1j&dl=0Yes, the truck is full of sentimental value to me and it is time I find it a new home that will appreciate an old vehicle from the 60'sIf you read this far, thanks.Patrick
