1942 Ford GWP Willys Jeep 4x4 WW2 Military Style MB
1942 Willys MB
Here is your chance to get in a very good condition 1942 Ford GPW
(Most people search Willys, so this is why I have it on the title)
I bought it from a local 78-year-old Army veteran whose dad served in WW2. He has restored the Jeep with his friends. He said he is too old to enjoy it anymore. I thanked him for his service and restoring such an historical car.
His late wife’s name is still on the side of the Jeep. I just have done some more work on the engine and around the Jeep. Made it more reliable to drive each weekend.
Last Picture is attached is him at a local WW2 car show. He got an award which he gave me. I will include it with the Jeep.
The Jeep has the original 4 cylinder 2.2L Go Devil WW2 engine and manual transmission.
It runs well like a 82 years old solid car. Max speed of 45 mph. To be safe, I would say 40.
I take it to local car shows all the time. People love to see such an icon show up in any car show.
What Needs to Be Done on This Jeep
Well. it is a 82 Years old Jeep. Not much left to do.
The horn does not work. I refused to install an aftermarket one. The siren works.
Missing the emergency brake handle. I already ordered it. Will install it as soon as shows up in mail.
It has new spark plugs. Fire up right away. Runs well, what can I say more. Not a fully restored car but very solid. it is all original body and panels. Front floors had a few small rust spots which had been fixed. Again, it is 82 years old Jeep. I believe it has been in CA for most of her life. Not sure how long.
Looks like the engine was redone a while ago. No Oil leaks.
All gauges are working except the oil pressure one. Will try to work on it also.
New parts installed
4 Tires, Carburetor, Coil, Water pump, Belt, Spark plugs and Wires. Upper and lower Radiator Hoses.
Decals. Restored Generator. Oil Change.
Is this a Originalmilitary Jeep?
Yes, since it is not a CJ. Any Willys before 1945 is a military model.
Must have a GPW or MB code on Vin Number.
Has original identification Ford matching plates on glove box door.
The Jeep is sold inAS IS Conditonsince is a 82 years old car.
Just see it as a fun little classic Jeep which can take it to car shows andparades.
These type of Willys model sells for $30-40K. I sold myself more than 5 of them on eBay.
I have clean CA title in hand.
I have sold so many classic cars in my life. I just sold 2 American icons just 6 months ago again to get the money ready for my divorce settlement. 1967 Mustang Fastback California GT. And 1979 Trans Am T-Top Bandit Edition. I got positive feedback from both buyers on eBay.
