Description:

1974 Toyota Land Cruiser

I am selling my FJ40. Based upon the VIN, this appears to be an October 1973 build date vehicle. It is my understanding the truck spent it’s life in Tennessee and North Florida. I purchased the vehicle last Fall with the intent of doing a nice restoration and keeping the truck. However, I recently came across an interesting 1964 model and my plans have changed.
The truck has a later model Toyota 2F, this is actually a nice upgrade. The motor runs fine. The transmission is a 4-speed and appears to be original. The frame is extremely solid with no rot commonly associated with FJ40’s. The hardtop is similarly in good condition. The metal ring that separates the hard top and fiberglass top has some damage to it but these are readily available for purchase. The rear jump seats are present and in good condition. The front seats are not original and are not from an FJ40. They are also not bolted up. I purchased the truck this way as the prior owner was in the middle of replacing the fuel tanks (under the front seats) when he had some issues that required him to sell. The exhaust was also replaced around this time and right before I purchased. The truck also has a replacement front floor pan with it. It was with the truck when I bought it.
I have included a photo of the odometer showing approximately 47,000 miles. It’s safe to assume the ticker has rolled over once already.
There is some minor body damage on the passenger side as shown in the photos. In addition, there is some rust in the rear sill and back rear corners. This is all fairly normal for a cruiser that has been unrestored. Please email me with any questions. I have a clear Florida title in my name. I have bought and sold various automobiles in my collection over the years so I can assist with shipping.
