1977 Toyota Land Cruiser LandCruiser

This FJ was bought from the original owner part way through his restoration in 2014. An FJ restoration specialist finished the vehicle in late 2014, pending thousands in parts and labor to get this vehicle to the point you see it today. It was bought with 88,104 miles, ust a few hundred miles more on it today after tuning/testing. This is one of the best FJ40’s out there, ery nice body on restoration. This truck was in excellent shape prior to restoration. 1977-83 FJ40’s are the most sought after units, his is an OE restoration with all SMOG equipment intact. This is a blue chip collector FJ40, urnkey ready to enjoy now. 1977 FJ40’s received the upgraded doors/ambulance rear doors/hard top with pop out vent windows, speed synchronized transmission and disc front brakes with 4.10 gears. Since purchasing the FJ from the restoration specialist, have added a new HFS front bumper with Warn 8724 winch, dded a new steel gas tank and lines, complete new clutch kit including master and slave cylinders, nstalled a new Pioneer Bluetooth stereo with JBL 300-watt speakers mounted in speaker boxes behind the front seats.

Purchased new in the high desert of eastern WA. I have a copy of the original title as I received it, ncluded with sale. Unfortunately my state does not let us keep original titles, nd they mark all vintage vehicles odometer exempt. Owner drove the truck into the 80’s then parked it in his garage. In 2013 the owner took this FJ40 to a restoration shop and began work. That shop painted the exterior, nd gave the original owner a large bill for that work and a large estimate to completely restore this vehicle. The owner at 91 years young decided the paint job cost too much and did not want to pay for a complete restoration. The FJ restoration specialist then purchased this FJ from the original owner. I call this a preservation restoration, t did not need a total nut and bolt, nd the goal was to keep items original if possible such as the motor, e did not re-paint it.

The original 2F motor has perfect compression. The FJ restoration specialistadjusted the valves, ebuilt the carburetor, edid all the vacuum hoses, elts, ull tune-up, ebuilt the SMOG pump, ew fuel pump. The motor runs perfectly, o blow by, ike new. The 4 speed and case shift perfectly. All fluids have been changed. Rebuilt the steering box, ew shocks, ew ball joints and covers, ew brakes front and rear, ew wheel cylinders. Brand new complete exhaust system. Brand new BFG KM2’s size 31/10.5/15 on stock wheels and caps. I have not seen any leaks on the concrete after a hot run.

The body is all original to this truck, ll in excellent condition. Color is factory Freeborn Red. Genuine new Toyota bumperettes, mblems, eals, enses, nobs and soft parts. Original Toyota front and rear mats. The FJ restoration specialistre-painted the inside of the tub in the same factory color. The seats and door panels have been redone. Doors are 1 finger open and shut (usually only found on original body vehicles) Theycut and buffed all the paint to seal and protect. They alsoundercoated the underside with POR-15, must for anyone driving this vehicle in bad weather to prevent rust.

This FJ40 runs and drives excellent, s correct, nd very enjoyable to operate. I drive it several days each week at speeds up to 65 MPH. I am only selling it because we are downsizing to a smaller house and I won't have adequate garage space to keep the FJ. My loss can be your gain!
