1926 Rolls-Royce PhantomThis is a 1926 Rolls-Royce. The model is a New Phantom with body style Special Salamanca. Chassis # 12DC (Phantom 1: X Series). It is believed to be Chassis number 12 of 121 of the DC series. This car is believed to be one of eight known Holbrook bodies built in the world. It comes with the original Marcel headlights, original tools, original fitted luggage with keys and tags still attached. Chauffer's removable top comes with the car but is not shown in these photos.
Technical Specifications:Engine: 6-cylinder, capacity 7688cc. Pushrod-operated overhead valves. Twin cylinder blocks on an aluminum two piece crank case. Seven bearing crankshaft with vibration damper. Single detachable 12-plug cylinder head, initially cast iron (CR 4:1) with all plugs on the nearside. Oil capacity 12 pints.
Carburation: R-R 2-jet type with automatic air valve and starting carburetor.
Ignition: Independent magneto and coil, each firing 6 plugs.
Fuel system: 18 gallon gas tank
Transmission: Separate unit 4 speed gearbox with a single plate clutch. Torque tube. Right hand gear exchange. Rear axle ratio is 3.47:1.
Suspension: Leaf springs. Semi-elliptic front and cantilever rear.
