Description:

1989 Porsche 930

This 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo, hich perhaps is one of the most important models in the 930's reign of supremacy, 1989 model (last year) with several factory options that makes it a rare and exciting example of Porsche's great heritage and certainly was much more expensive over the original factory sticker price. This 930 Turbo was ordered new by Canadian racecar driver Peter Thomson. As an avid racing enthusiast, homson knew exactly what he wanted in his own performance car and with unlimited funds to purchase the very best when he outfitted his 930 with a number of great options. Most notably, t has the Porsche sport package which includes: 335 HP (standard Euro horsepower), hort gear shifter, pecial factory installed steering wheel, pipe sport exhaust and the iconic Fuchs wheels. Other options include heated leather sport seats and a sunroof. This car is also very special in that it is one of only four 1989 Porsche 930's without the Gamballa slant nose package that were originally ordered from the factory with option code XA8 which are the special rocker panels and it also has option code XB7 which are the factory air ducts in rear fenders for brake cooling. The final year 1989 930 Turbos were also the only models to feature a five-speed transmission. The car has 35,000 original miles from new. When the new MPH speedometer was put into the car (when it was first brought to the United States) it had 0 miles on the new odometer. It was driven to a dealer for service in 2007 and at that time the car had 95 miles on the new speedometer odometer. At this time the dealer recorded the mileage as 95,000 miles instead of 95 (The cars actual mileage was still actually around 35,000 miles) as it is today. Paint and interior are all in very nice condition and this 930 wears its originality as a badge of honor. It has just undergone a thorough maintenance service and all fluids have been changed, ll mechanicals have been tuned, nd both the body and interior were completely detailed. The amazing original condition of this time capsule is truly impressive and it is a Porsche that could serve as the crown jewel of any German sports car collection.
