1983 Other Makes Avanti Restomod

There no such thing as your average Avanti II, but take some time to look over every inch of this restomod. Soon you'll discover that with all the investments in an award-worthy presentation, 375 hp V8, upgraded fully independent suspension, and all the right luxuries, you're looking at one of the biggest bargains on a star car you'll ever see.
Fans of the FantomWorks show on the Velocity Channel should be familiar with this one already. But even if you didn't know the car from the TV show, you'd still instantly recognize it as a star. That's because the glossy shade of the Corvette's Anniversary Red gives this one a ruby-like metallic shine. Plus, we think this 'Vette color is a cool connection between these two fiberglass legends. There was not only a ton of investment in getting the body looking amazing, but also in giving it a custom appearance. For example, the bumpers have been expertly deleted to give the purest form to Raymond Loewy's legendary design. Add in great modern upgrades like LED taillights and 17-inch Foose alloys, and you've got a great classic with plenty of modern flair exactly what you want in a restomod.
Inside is the kind of luxury Studebaker would have always wanted to add their '60s-style exotic machine. It's a full custom interior with supple leather on the seats, Birdseye maple on the center console & dash, and a Nardi steering wheel. All the details are even great from factory pieces like the overhead console, to the custom Avanti logos embroidered in the bucket seat head rests. It's the kind of stellar presentation that won't surprise you to learn that the interior has won awards all on its own. But more than just look fantastic, this one has all the right luxury features, too, like power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, power steering, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. There's even ice-cold air conditioning to keep you feeling as cool behind the wheel as you look.
Grab your sunglasses before popping the hood. You can tell there was the kind of investment in polished components that people spend on their whole restoration alone. In fact, we have one receipt for the motor for over $10,500. But more than just pure shine, there is plenty of thoughtful touches, like how the slots in the valve covers and air toper match the red painted engine bay. And while the motor has serious style, it also has serious substance, too. This crate 350 cubic-inch V8 has been fortified with goodies like Clevite P-series rod & main bearings, roller rockers, high volume oil pump, March serpentine kit, and Edelbrock aluminum heads. It inhales deeply through dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, and it exhales with authority out of a custom set of headers. The full package is rated around 375 horsepower, and the rumble of the dual exhaust lets everyone know this slick Avanti is packing some serious muscle. But more than just powerful, a true restomod needs to handle the streets. That's why the front suspension has been given a tubular A-arm construction and a thick sway bar. In the rear, there has been a major upgrade to an expensive independent setup from Factory Five. And not only do you get a fully-independent suspension, but also a four-wheel disc brake kit from Wilwood. This is the perfect vehicle for performance driving or highway cruising, and even the transmission follows this line with a 700R4 unit by TCI that has both a 2500 RPM stall and overdrive.
With $120K spent at FantomWorks, more improvements since then (w/plenty of receipts), and only about 1,500 miles on the car since completion, you're looking at an amazing turn-key classic. The sale even comes with the bill of sale and owner's maul packet! So if you love the best of everything in one distinctive package, don't let this one-of-a-kind slip away. Call now!
