1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups

I bought this as a working truck, drove it around, and loved it. It needed work but I was going to do it a little at a time. A friend had the idea of cutting the front end off and putting on an SS Monte clip, in a weekend. I took everything off this truck and I mean everything. It is not back together right as you can see. Its just together enough to haul it away. Well… that was not a good choice and it was so bad I cut the entire thing off, found another front half and welded the 2 together. Threw the parts in the bed, Dropped the bed on as well as the cab. This is for someone that really has the love, money, and time for it. If you want to put a new clip on and redo it I guess that would be the most practical way to go. Its pretty rough and needs a lot of work. The engine runs but can use a rebuild. Trans seemed to be fine. I have extra parts that came with the front half that I bought. Now with that said, it is insured, registered and I have the title and all the legal paperwork if you wanted to register it somewhere else, I heard this helps. Not 100% on that. But I am never going to finish this truck. It kills me to see it like this but I don't have the space or time to fix it. There is NO RESERVE and you will need a flatbed to haul it away. It is in Fairfield, CT as shown in the photos. This bid is starting at $1 so it must go and please bid if you are serious only. It is not at my house and can't stay where it is, but where it is makes it easy to pick up and take. This is again the original rear frame rails and other front half rails from another 55 tacked together and all needs to be redone. All the mods of the clip addition have been scrapped. That mess was a disaster. So this is as back to normal as I can get it. Everything is just dropped on the frame. Then engine is bolted down but may not even be right, or have the right bolts in and of itself.
I was going to redo this truck one small piece at a time, now.... its just never going to happen as I don't have the space or the knowledge to do it as well as the desire anymore. Looks like whatever I get here will maybe go to another one someday.
Thanks for looking.
Chris
The good photo by the garage is how it looked when I first got it and was driving it around for a while... a few weeks before I was thinking chopping the front end off was a good idea. Anyway if you do get this, please send finished photos. It would be nice to see how it came out after all.
