1955 chevy pickup with a reliable 1995 Chevy Vortex engine and S-10 drivetrain

1955/57 Chevy 3100 step-side truck restomod sitting on top of a 1995 Chevy S-10 frame and drivetrain. The truck body is actually a 1957, but the VIN# attached to the door is borrowed from a 1955. Other bits and pieces like the 59-60 Chevy dashboard and the Cadillac bullet bumper and fins, and other unique customizations make this a one of a kind modified restoration truck. Besides presenting well, it actually tows well (we used it for our Shasta) and has a 2” receiver hiding behind the flip-down license plate. We could tow for three hours without issues. It is in terms of the mechanical business a 1994 S-10. The body and inside the cab is all yesteryear, but with the modern comfort of the S-10 seats as well as its entire dashboard (which sits under the vanity 59-60 Chevy dash). Under the hood it has the reliability of the Chevy 4.3L V6 from the S-10. Where the 55/57 ends and the 94 begins is seamless. Oversized tires and Crager chrome wheels. Since it was created it has always been kept in a barn - never been in the rain. Even the oak bed is in great shape. I bought it from the creator for towing our Shasta. It has been mostly sitting now for 5 years since we sold the Shasta. Less than 200 miles a year since then, just to our camp and back in the Summer and Fall. It's time to sell it now. It starts right up and runs well. I just put a new battery in it. I did think about dropping in a crate motor/tranny and an A/C and update the interior, but will leave that to the next owner's imagination. On the other hand, it does sound sweet with the split exhaust like it has a crate motor, but doesn't have the actual HP. Cruise slow! There are two recent videos of it Here and Here. 37,000 miles on the drivetrain. It is registered in Vermont as a 55 Chevy, but Vermont does not issue titles on vehicles older than 15 years. Come pick it up drive it home, trailer it, or have it transported to you. $16,000 takes it!
