This is a Beautifully Restored 1951 MG TD9127 with Engine No. 9495.

I have the history of this MG TD back to 1961. In 2019 this MGTD was refreshed and completely serviced by a well known retired MG dealership Master MG technician. It runs beautifully and needs nothing.

In 1961 this MG TD was registered to Judge Lansing Mitchell in Covington LA. Judge Mitchell drove it regularly until his death in 2001. I have lots of records on this car back to 1961.

In 2001 Juge Mitchell's estate sold this MG TD to Ben White in New Orleans LA. Ben and I have had several conversations and he has verified itshistory and his decision to restore it. Ben hired a well-known MG restorer, Mike Lewis in New Orleans, do a comprehensive restoration over two years. Every nut and bolt was removed during this restoration. A great majority of the original parts were used in the restoration.

In 2008 Ben White sold it to William Shane owner of the Cars of Yesteryears Museum in Metairie LA. William was so impressed with the restoration and it's performance he wanted it for his museum. For the next 9 years Willian Shane displayed it in his museum; and it was driven on a regular basis…as are all of William’s cars in his museum. As a result it was driven on a regular basis.

In 2017 William Shane sold it to the Yesterday’s Classic Cars LLC in Colcord OK.

In 2018 Yesterday’s Classic Cars sold it to Tom Payette in Louisville KY. Tom Payette is a retired MG, Jaguar, Buick andRolls-Royce dealer located in Louisville KY. Tom was wowed by the restoration.

Tom hired one of his retired MG factory trainedMaster technicians, Bob Smith, to fully inspect it from end to end. Bob cautionedTom that he was reluctantto work on a well worn MG TD as he had enough of them in his career. When he saw it in person he marveled at it's condition, accuracy of the work done and it's performance. It only needed what is shown below.

This is was Bob did....

Installed five new tires, Classic All Season 165/80R15

Installed new seat belts

Replaced the generator

Replaced the voltage regulator

Installed new points, condenser and coil

Installedboth side door safety latch locks

Replaced the rear stop lights with LED bulbs

Replaced the coolant

Adjusted the valves were adjusted head cover gasket replaced

Replaced the front brake shoes and RF wheel bearing

Replaced the steering rack boots were replaced and set the toe in

Flushed gas tank was flushed and rebuilt both carbs

Replaced fuel hoses

Removed and reinstalled the early MGTD chronometric speedometer and tachometer instruments, including the clock with Micro Proc. Bd., that were rebuilt by Nisonger.

This MG TD has a tonneau cover, full convertible top and side curtains.

Mind you...this car ran well BEFORE Bob worked on it. I instructed him to fix or replace any parts needing attention. You will not be disappointed.

I welcome an inspection and will try to answer any questions you have. This is an exceptional MG TD...lovingly care for.
