Up for auction is anoriginal

1970 "H" Code 351 Mercury Cougar.

The reason we can't sell this car for less than $4,000 is that it has lots of expensive parts including its original 2 bbl Cleveland engine and FMX transmission, as well as the 9" rear end, tilt steering wheel, power steering, and power front disk brakes,

Obviously, this Cougar can be restored into an awesome Classic.

Please take a look at the last picture to see how stunning a these Cougars can look when fully restored.

The good news is that the car still has its original numbers matching 351 2 bbl engine and FMX transmission which is worth $2000, plus all the other pieces and parts that our needed.

This Cougar would be worth at least $25,000 to $30,000 when fully restored. ..

BODY:

This Cougar will need a little body work in the normal areas, but not much. Please see the underneathpicturesof the floor pans, and frame. The frame is straight and the quarters are in goodcondition. Overall not that much is needed to get this Cougar body ready to paint.

INTERIOR:

The interior should be brought back to excellence. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren't accepting someone else's mistakes or bad repairs. The instrument panel is in good condition, just dirty, but you will want a new dash pad. The seats will need recovering, but new covers are available to make the job much less costly. The door panels are there, but you probably want new ones anyway.

ENGINE BAY:

Engine bay is in great condition, and just needs to be cleaned and painted.

GLASS:

Windshield is cracked but the door glass and the 1/4 side glass are all there

MISC.

The car is definitely a project, but we can help where you need our help.

All of the parts are worth more than we are asking for the car including the original numbers matching 351 Cleveland engine and FMX transmission ($2,000), 9" rear end ($1,000), power front disk brakes and spindles ($1,000), Tilt Steering Wheel ($800), power steering ($800), plus a good body ($1,000) if someone has a Cougar that needs too much rust repair.

Please ask any questions you may have, we know someone will receive a great project and ultimately a great Classic Big Block Cougar

The Cougar is currently off the DMV System in California. We will supply you with the documents you will need to get the car licensed in your state.

Please bid with confidence.
