Up for sale is our beautifully pristine 1985 Model, old in 1984, lassic SL with the very desirable Silver on light Grey color combination, n absolutely exceptional mechanical and cosmetic condition, In fact as close to pristine as can be reasonably expected.

A beautifully running and driving example of what is reputed to be the ultimate combination of modern and classic styling, ide, uality and performance.

Excellent Engine, ransmission, rakes and suspension. She Runs extremely smooth and there is zero valve train noise, nd she must have had a valve job at some point in the recent past, s there is no blue smoke at all, ven when she sits not started for a while.

There is also zero rear end and zero wheel bearing noise.

This SL is the latest version of the 380SL series, aving two huge major improvements over the previous version:

It has the dual chain engine FROM THE FACTORY same as the 560.

It also has the 4 speed over drive transmission, lso the same as the 560.

These 2 features put this car way ahead of the previous year 380.

Additionally unique to this particular car, s the fact that the dash DOES NOT HAVE ANY SUN CRACKS AT ALL. This signals a warm climate car 30 year old sports car that has been garaged ALL of her life.

In fact the dash is so nice that even most specialists think it is a hard cover shell, nd they often walk up to it and try to lift the edges in disbelief !!

Those familiar with this model know how rare this is.

The interior and exterior condition is generally hard to match.

This car looks, eels, rives, erforms and handles like a car with far less miles.

It is simply astounding how these amazing cars are made so, f taken care of, etain their quality through the years as they do.

Clearly this SL has been cherished all its life.

Recently serviced, ncluding a new muffler and several thousand dollars worth of repair bills.

We at Performance Vintage International are licensed California Classic and exotic car dealers, nd only for California buyers will charge sales tax and state mandated transfer and documentation fees (registration fees are paid to the state, lus a $45 documentation fee with sales tax based new owner’s county rate). We do not charge out of state buyers for these fees and they will be responsible for their own fees and need to pay their own state fees and taxes themselves as appropriate and we will only charge a $45 documentation fee.

As pristine as our SL is, he is still far from perfect and has overall generally minor imperfections as any non new 31 year old item would be.

In line with normal ebay practices please note that all inspections are to be made prior to auction close, inning the car does not entitle you to come and inspect her to see she is really what you wan, hat should be done before you bid ! Prior to auction close multiple inspections by the same person are no problem, ou can come back as many times as you like, ring friends, ousins, echanics, rothers, isters, eighbor and spouses all welcome !
