A true British icon, a legendary 1991 Land Rover Defender 90 equipped with the coveted 200 TDI power plant and five speed manual transmission.In honest, veryoriginaland generally unmolested condition.I just love the character and charm of it being right hand drive. All drivingcomponents are the same as a US vehicle configuration, gas pedal; clutch, brakes and gear stick are the sameexcept you are just in a right hand side drivingposition. Takes ten minutes to get use to, and then it's a joy to drive and creates waves and attention wherever it goes. A true original andiconicDefender!As with any older vehicle, please expect flaws and imperfections that come with age and mileage. It still has a current MOT (British road safety test); every vehicle in the UK must pass a MOT each year (not required for the USA but completed regardless). Which ultimately shows you have a roadworthy, safe and competent vehicle that is road legal to drive.

Mechanically, this Land Rover is in excellent running and driving condition. The Defender starts easily and runs smoothly with every turn of the key.Her road manners are good and what you would expect from a Defender.The suspension feels tight and well sorted.Steering and braking feel good, too.The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The engine makes great power and feels strong throughout the power band.Low-end torque is impressive. Gear changes through the manual transmission are precise. EngineThis Defender is factory fitted with a matching Defender 200Tdi engine that starts right up every time. It feels firm and sounds solid, as it should. The 200Tdi engine has covered 140k original miles, which is low considering its age. Holds perfect oil pressure and temperature, as it should.This D90 drives like a rocket!The 200Tdiwas one of the first mass-produced small-capacity direct-injection diesels, with the attendant improvements in power and efficiency. Analuminumalloy cylinder headreduced weight and noise, a new Bosch Injectionsystem gave improved running characteristics and better starting performance. An intercoolerboosted power and efficiency further. The 200Tdi had better performance and economy than previous engines. It is still highly regarded by Land Rover enthusiasts and has established itself as a powerful and long-lived unit that with proper maintenance can exceed 300,000 miles of use.

InteriorHas original black vinyl interior that is in a very good and neat condition. It features three original vainly seats up front with two vinyl bench seats in the rear, making it a seven seater. Rear bench seat area is fully carpeted. Very clean and tidy interior with no rips or tears. The Interior is very standard and basic but clean and well looked after, simplistic dash with no rips or tears, all original dials and speedo is in MPH.Completed with the addedluxury of radio/CD/Aux player.Brakes & Running GearAll the brakes and running gear work properly, the disc brakes and parking brake hold the vehicle as it is meant to. Equipped with powered-assisted steering, which really makes it fun and a pleasure to drive for an old Land Rover. Clutch operates correctly, the original gearbox shifts work properly and it does not make any strange noises. All-wheel drive with high and low ranges all work correctly.
