OK Here we go!! This is an amazing truck with a great tale! Bought new by a cotton farmer in Alabama this Southern truck was WELL KEPT and cared for its entire life! The truck has just 26, 055 ORIGINAL MILES!!! It was driven sparingly by the original owner as he had other vehicles at hand and died in 1950-- after his death it was always stored inside--The FORD dealer that sold it took good care of it since new--In 1943 they had an unusual Southernfreeze and without anti freeze the original engine was frozen and damaged--The old man took it back to the dealer where a NEW Ford V-8 was installed. The truck is 100% Ford factory original--
Fast forward the grandson gets the truck--starts a paint/resto and gets in over his head--truck is sold to a high end collector who finished a beautiful restoration- on a RUST FREE TRUCK-The paint on this truck is a TEN! It is stunning! Truck has original factory floor mat and pedal covers that show no wear--This truck has been driven weekly this year and we put over 3000 miles on it TROUBLE FREE--it starts, runs and drives near Perfect! Very dependable!
It has new radial tires with vintage look,new glass all the way, all new chrome on everything,new brakes, Stainless exhaust, new fuel tank, new updated thermostats and water pumps, new carb, and new fuel pump--engine was recently treated to new seals an Optima battery. Engine has over 50 lbs oil pressure and that is GREAT for a V-8 of this vintage--It runs like a dream!
For a 75 year old truck she is a real gem! Nothing this old is perfect--you may find minor flaws in anything but rest assured this is one awesome truck!! You can buy and enjoy without spending another penny. It has a clear North Carolina title, the firewall Ford tag is intact and the factory serial number is visible and correct on frame.
