Description:

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle original super sport

the 68 chevelle you see here is extremely nice car.excellent body.highly optioned and never abused.it is an original super sport.body style 13837(with 396,4-spee, & 12 bolt positraction)all chrome and stainless, including the bumpers is either near perfect or been replaced with new.all glass is nice too.it still retains what appears to be all its original body panels.including floors,rockers,doors,ect....paint is as nice as you could ask for.definately a 9.there are no dents, scratches or rust bubbles anywhere.there are probably a few light blemishes, but they are so small or slight that even this digital camera cant pick them up.under trunk area, door jambs,& inside fenders painted areas are as nice and slick as the outside bodys paint! all body panels are even and consistent.doors, hood,& trunk opens and shut like a new 68 chevelle. only one thing to mention in trying to be honest, they are a few small blems in the vynil top.NOT ANY rust at all. a few small air bubbles?only on the side where it meets the chrome.not hardly noticeable.an easy, no cost fix.car has its 4 T-3 headlights.something i forgot to mention about the paint.this paint has some age to it,by that im wanting to get you to understand its not going to have rust coming back through in a year like some cars thats just been completed on here.and dont think by paints age is a bad thing, just the opposite in this case.its also a rare radio delete.and came with tachometer and gauge package.with the M20 and positraction.somebody wanted a car to do business, not comfort?....it has a good list of options too, they are as follows:
A02-tinted windshield G94-3:31 ratio PW8-red stripe tires
A51-bucket seats J50-power brake U03-tri-volume horn
C08-vynil roof cover L35-396-325 U14 gauge pkg & rpm gauge
D55-floor shift console M20-wide ratio transmission U35-electric clock
D96-body stripe N34-sport style steering wheel ZJ7-special wheel w/cap & trim ornament
G80-positraction N40-power steering
the car runs and drives like a 68 chevelle should.cars in this condition are getting harder & harder to find.i think because people are keeping the good ones and not letting them go as frequent. i dont like using the word 'restored"because so many people throw it around and dont know the meaning for it...so ill say this car has just about everything done to it that can be.nothing has not been addressed.its been highly & thoroughly detailed to near perfection.from top to bottom, inside & out.the underneath is as nice as interior & under hood.last 68 chevelle super sport i had, several people wanted to know why the black paint was painted into the door jamb area like that?.....in case you dont know, chevrolet did this from the factory, its like that around the trunk opening also, only SS-396 in 68 got this treatment. not only is it near flawless,it looks right, sets right and sounds right. look at the pictures down the 4 side shots.its hard to find them like that.they are other chevelle SS-396 cars on here that are in the $40 to $ 60,000 dollar range that dont look inside & underneath as this one is.you decide?this one is far cheaper than those prices are.
im a dealer doing business as hathcock auto sales & restoration.i dont sell junk,so what you see is what you get.as with any vehicle this age,if your bidding, your understanding its sold as-is.no warranty expressed or implied.old cars have usually had multiple owners who change, add,or delete things.thats normal.so no car is 100% anymore.do your due-dilligence.within 3 days of auctions end, full payment will be required.if not, it will be offered to next bidder.im firm on my terms.ebay allows this.also, there is a non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end.im away alot in spring & summer months attending auctions & car shows.so im not available at all times.all statements listed here are based on opinion, upon winning bid,you acknowledge you have read all info stated here.you also relieve the seller blameless of info contained or omitted...you have to list this stuff?,because theyre some people who'll think your responsible for knowing the life of a car since it was new?which i dont.
i have a good friend that is a dispatcher at a major transport co.he can sometimes get cars like this brought to you for around .040 to .060 cents a mile?thats extremely cheap.they also offer inclosed too.( but higher)
