1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-396,4 spd,12-bolt 3:31 positraction

im listing this for my husband.his account was compromised.his feedback is 678 and 100% at this time...this is an outstanding car throughout.it runs and drives as good as any chevelle can.best i can tell, the mileage is 147,810 miles.and it reflects the cars past.the color combination is gorgous.monaco orange with parchment bucket seat interior.very nice body.best i can tell, most of panels are original, except for the lower portion of one quarter panel drop off.it was done by someone who knew what they were doing.floors,rockers,trunk,ect...are nice.paint is extremely nice. there always very small blemishes, but these are so few and small, that a digital camera cant pick them up.paint is slick as glass and definatley a 9.this car actually is nicer than the pictures.all glass is good.all chrome and stainless is new.still retains all 4 T-3 headlights.all doors,fenders,trunk,ect..line up and are straight.all panels gaps are consistent.all open and shut like they should also.car has alot of rare and desirable options.22 total, they are as follows:
A02-tinted winshield D96-body side stripe N40-power steering
A33-power trunk G80-positraction N33-tilt wheel
A39-deluxe seat belts G94-3:31 gear N34-sport style wheel
A51-bucket seats J50-power brakes U05-dual horns
C08-vynil top J52 -disc brakes U14-tach and gauge
C51-rear window defogger L35-396-350 h.p. U35-electric clock
D55-console M21-muncie 4 spd transmission U57-8 track player
U63-push button radio
engine and transmission has no issues.runs excellent and transmission shifts like it should.steering column has an upper bearing thats bad and needs to be replaced.radio & 8 track are nice looking, but radio does not come on?neither does the player,so im thinking they may be connected together?as you can tell by the pictures, this car has had everything done to it that can be done!theres been no exspense spared.if you could only see how nice it really is, how clean, new it looks throughout.theres no reason you shouldnt be able to come back from any car show without a trophy.some would call this a show car.it has been meticulously done top to bottom, inside and out!...underneath is as nice and detailed as under the hood!
cars in this condition are getting harder to find.i think because people are keeping them longer and not getting rid of.as far as price ranges goes for cars in this condition, the CPI black book is a good one to use.its respected by alot of major classic auctions....the CPI doesnt list a catagory #1.they only list #2 and #3 catagorys.(class #1 are usually for original survivors, nos restored or 1,000 point judging classes) this car definately falls in the #2 catagory.in the current book 69 chevelle SS-396 cars are $51,800.and that does not consider a car that is of high options.these figures are gathered by actual sale transactions for these cars changing hands.....my reserve is alot lower than this.but please dont ask the reserve or for a buy it now,its not fair for everyone thats bidding.
im a dealer dba hathcock auto sales and restoration.i dont sell junk,so what you see is what you get....do your due-diligence.all statements are based on opinion, yours may differ.understand your buying a 48 year old used car.it is not new.if you bidding, your understanding that your buying it as-is,where is,no warrantty expressed or implied.there is no deposit,........BUT,within 3 days of auction ending, full payment will be required.if not it will be offered to next highest bidder.i have to do this because im not available at times.
i have a good friend that is a dispatcher for a major transport co.close by.he can usually get vehicles moved for around .040 to .060 cents a mile!thats cheap........this is a real nice car.i think whoever gets it will surely be content.
