This 1954 Chevy 1/2 ton shortbox pick up truck was used as a daily driver by the previous owner in farm country for doing errands. He said he fixed the rust and used body filler here and there and repainted the truck 12 years ago or so. He painted the fenders black which really makes the truck look cool. This truck is a 20 footer in that it looks great from 20 feet away but up close you can see the defects of the bodywork and daily driver paint. Study the pics and video to see any cosmetic defects. The truck was missing a tailgate so I bought a brand new one that is on it. The bed has the original wood. It was missing the driver side door glass so I installed one but it still needs the felt channel. The passenger door window has cracks and should be replaced ($40 lmc truck flat glass) the windshield looks good and the back window looks good as pictured.

As the video shows, he truck drives 50 mph and steers and handles the way a 54 chevy truck should.The engine does not smoke, nock or miss. the clutch plate had some surface rust from not being used but should get better as it is driven. the clutch does engage. The trans shifts all gears and the brakes stop the way they should. We installed a new master cylinder and only the rear brakes are hooked up but the truck does stop fine. The original wire harness should be replaced with a new wire harness ($200 lmc trucks) due to to the old one being worn from age. We bypssed the 6 volt system and it is working off a 12 volt coil/battery. The previous owner only drove this in the daytime as the headlights not being hooked up as well as the gauges/speedo not working. This is a great start for a daily driver truck that should have in my opinion three thing done to make it a daily driver for night and day or long trips. I would replace the gas tank due to sendimentation ($150 lmc truck) the wire harness, nd the front brakes done. You can use it the way it is right now while you tinker with it or take it to the next level and do a restoration.

These 1/2 ton short box pick ups are getting hard to find especially at this price that ride and drive.This truck comes with a clean and clear title ready for you to register. I do not want to overcall this truck as it is 62 years old and not restored, et the video, ics and description tell the story.
