THIS VANAGON WILL NOT SMOG IN CALIFORNIA - otherwise I would never let it go! This was my "get away" car at my wedding, it took me up and down the west coast; exploring, running, and enjoying the panoramic views from its iconic windows.

In 2016 it was valued at $54,200 by Auto Appraisal Network and it's not difficult to see why. While retaining the basic external looks and characteristics of this 38 year old classic Westfalia, it also has custom fabricated upgrades. Making this either the ideal Vanlife vehicle or the Swiss Army Knife of camping.

Features such as a high performance 2.5L Subaru Boxer engine conversion ~ 210HP, 4-speed manual transaxle, power front disc brakes, rack & pinion steering, a custom upholstered interior, solar power options, power inverter and much more make this a truly capable off-road camper.

The previous owners and myself have kept excellent records on the building of this vehicle and have receipts for materials and labor totaling more than $41,420.

This Westy is hard to find, with all the upgrades, ability to maintain highway speed, and upgrades to support extended time off-grid. Because of its size, it will fit into any parking spot, downtown, by the beach, or camp site. It has a well thought-out electrical system that powers 4 USB devices and two laptops, that recharges either via solar (while camping for multiple days) or while driving via the alternator.
