Description:

1982 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia

Vehicle Details

1982 VW Westfalia 2wd; 1.9l AAZ Turbo Diesel

4 speed (DK code transmission)

Previous owner spent more than $20k on upgrades and maintenance, I have a file of receipts including from Rocky Mountain Westy from 2019 & 2020

good body with original paint, minor blemishes, minor seam rust, a couple nickel sized rust spots at windows.

Previous owner had this van since October 2012.

This factory original diesel Westy was outfitted with a roadtrip to South America and southern Africa in mind focusing on reliability and simplicity as the goal.

The van has a 12v truckfridge, house battery, and 100W solar panel to keep it off grid as long as the sun shines.

In addition, the factory propane tank has been removed and replaced with a hose and regulator in the cabinet and a large capacity Viking fiberglass propane tank that will provide long intervals between fill ups.
