1971 PORSCHE 914/914-6 CONVERSIONYou are viewing my 1971 Porsche 914 project. I just ran out of my time with this project but you can now pursue your dream- just add a 6 cylinder engine of your choice. Please review the list of accessories included.Exterior- This car grew up in McAllen, Texas-so, there is nothing but a small amount of surface rust underneath.The battery tray has suffered but is intact. The "Hell Hole" is satisfactory. Paint is a 7.5 on a scale of 10. Stored in a barn with a car cover. No scrapes- just minor hail damage on the trunk only. I was advised it could be repaired without painting. Targa top and latches operate well. Chrome is excellent.Interior- Very good condition-needs new floor carpet. No radio but have cover plate. Please disregard the ugly shifter-it is replaced with the side shift transmission discussed below. Needs new steering wheel horn bar. Has usual cracks in the dash. All instruments operated before dismantling of the engine. Windows operate properly.Mechanical-Engine: I have several engine parts/accessories, which are included, as follows:1. 1.7L numbers matching engine case,2. Porsche 914-6 front suspension with 911 calipers and vented rotors and 19mm torsion bars,3. Transmission - 73-76 914 901 5 speed side shifter transmission with associated accessories plus the intermediate plate from a 70-71 901 transmission for carb linkage,4. Set (4 plus a spare for a total of 5) of Porsche Fuch wheels 5.5J x14 w/lugs, and5. Front sway bar and mounting plates.6. Pedrini wheels not included. Vehicle provided w/stock wheels and roller tires plus the Fuch wheels w/o tires.
