1984 Pontiac Firebird TRANS AM
This 1984 Pontiac Trans Am is one of a reported 1,500 15thAnniversary cars and is finished in white with blue graphics and grayupholstery. And is one of 1,000 built with an automatic transmission. Poweredby a 5.0-liter L69 High-Output V8 linked to a four-speed automatictransmission, the car is equipped with the Aero and WS6 Performance packages aswell as pop-up headlights, removable T-top panels, 16″ alloy wheels,power-assisted disc brakes, air conditioning, a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo,cruise control, power-operated windows and Recaro bucket seats. Features also include a leather-wrappedsteering wheel, shift knob, emergency brake lever, and passenger-side dashpocket. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer, atachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometershows just over 49k miles. The 5.0-liter L69High-Output V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 190horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque.
Headlight motors work and T-Tops do not leak. Radioworks. Have not tried the cassette player. Carburetor was rebuilt 2023. Runsand drives but the brake lights are not currently working. I have not had timeto investigate the reason, may just need new bulbs. Car needs some TLC. Paint blemishes arepresent on the fenders, front bumper cover, and left mirror. Decals areyellowed on hood and some spots have pealed. Passenger side widow is the onlyone operating. A/C holds charge for about a day and is cold while it ischarged.
This is a collector’s car due to the low number productionnumbers and could be an excellent car with a little time and effort.
