1957 Pontiac Super Chief original sunlight yellow 2 door hardtop. Original 347/270 horsepower, 4 speed Strato Flight Hydramatic with ps, pb, factory air that's complete but does not blow cold. I have a copy of the original title along with the original factory service policy from Cobb Pontiac. The owner was from Tulsa, OK. There are a lot of new parts installed including:Complete new interior using original Pontiac materialP215/75R radial tiresAmerican Racing wheelsFront end rebuild including kingpins/bushings, tie rod ends, shocks, A arm seals, sway bar bushings & links, brake hoses, and wheel cylindersNewly rebuilt power steering box by LARS – cost $837.Brake shoes front and rearGas tank senderElectronic ignitionMotor mountsHeater coresRag jointA/C wiring harnessRestored carburetor by California Carburetor ExchangeRear view mirrorDoor handlesGlove BoxTrunk matTrunk W/SRepro owner's manualWiper bladesSill platesSeat beltsGallon of starlight yellow lacquer (unused)Car is not perfect, but does make a great impression. Starts right up, runs good, and compression checks good in all cylinders. All of the gauges work, horn works, turn signals work, all the lights, including the backup lights and interior lights work. The dash etc. is unmolested. The original radio comes on, but it's AM and I can't get a good station where I'm located so I'm not sure if it would work better where there is one. The power brakes are fantastic, stops on a dime. Goes absolutely straight down the interstate. The transmission filler tube O ring is leaking. There are some paint bubbles and rust spots as shown in the photos. These do not go through. However, the car sat outside unattended for a while, and the two front and one interior rear floor pan had to be repaired. The body mounts, frame, quarter panels, and front fenders were unaffected. As usual, the vacuum wipers don't work well. There is a vibration with the motor running and not moving. It's more apparent at certain rpm's but doesn't go away while driving, but is less noticeable. I can not figure out the cause. As I mentioned the motor runs good, doesn't miss, and the compression checks OK in all cylinders. I turn 76 October 30th and just can't finish it. $21,900. I might consider a trade for something that my wife could drive – later model, automatic, not too big. Air cleaner was removed so you could see the carburetor and more of the engine details. A $500. deposit is due at time of purchase.Vehicle Details:
