1969 Road runner RM23 hardtopStarted life as an F5 Green 383 4 speed bench seat Drum Brake No PS No PB carNow has a 440 906 heads Blow proof bell housing with an A833 3.23 Sure Grip Ladder bars Headers Flowmasters (sounds Great) Competition Thermo-quad Bucket seats and Disc BrakesThis was somebody's street racer out of Hollister Years ago- now it has a street friendly 3.23 rearI have had the pan off, Crank is balanced Rods have been resized Forged pistons looks to be very low milesAll body work was professionally done and I have the photos of it being accomplished. All original panels as far as I can tell except hood and right front fenderInterior is an amature job but not bad for a first attempt Car was rewired with an aftermarket kit but uses factory switches- All oe connectors and harness come with carLets see what else... New grille in trunk comes with correct rear bumper and reverse lights also head rests for seats and original front drums all stampings match and are correct Core support, vin, Trunk rail
The good The needs workRuns strong absolutely fun to drive Although the interior is done- headliner needs tightening up-Tranny shifts well clutch works well Drivers seat is soft but comes with new cushionMajor Body work done Window tracks need to be lubedClear title in my name registered and ready to drive Has a draw on the battery when you leave it connectedNew interior Will try and solve that before it goes at present I just disconnectstarts shifts runs drives and stops as it should the batterySuspension was all rebuilt at some point in its life Wiper motor only works on one speed- needs dimmer switchRecent motor Ignition wires are too long- I bought them at NAPA they wereAll lights horn signals work except reverse lights obviously hanging on the wall and said 440 Chrysler- but I think they wereLegendary cool car For a different application- cheap electronic dist to get running Trim and wipers and new grille are in trunk But works well Needs finish body work and paint- again obviously OE Alt Temp and Fuel Gauge need to be hooked upAll Glass is good doors hood trunk open and close nice Blower motor works but heater hoses are not hooked up
I probably missed something but this is a drive as you fix up car thats ready to go- so ask questions - these are getting hard to find
