1969 Plymouth Road Runner A12 Tribute So Plymouth created the Road Runner in 1968 to address the entry level muscle car market, we all know that. However, when they decided to take the legendary 440 with a 6 Barrel carb configuration and plant those 390 horses under the hood of the lighter weight intro version of Chrysler muscle a whole new playing field opened up. Plymouth had created a high performance inexpensive street stormer that not only stimulated the physical...aspect of a muscle car beyond norms of the day. Here is a full rotisserie restored tribute to that the days of torque, straight line acceleration, and pre smog. This one has all the right stuff, is in a great color, and runs great. It looks as good underneath as on top and the topside is fabulous. The original fender tag is in place and it codes out to be pretty true to original. Unfortunately we have not gotten a broadcast sheet with this one butt it does have it's original fender tag. It is powered by a 440 6 barrel V8 and 727 Torqueflite transmission along with a 3.55 rear end, this one is a riot to drive. The Bright Red paint with black roof and hood treatment, that includes "A12 Air Grabber Intake" look fabulous on this fabulous Road Runner and it is easy to drive with power steering and brakes Features Power comes from a 440 CID block with 1970 Six Barrel setup and tuned to over 500 HP with 570 ft lbs of torque Those horses are channeled through a numbers matching Torqueflite 727 with Console Shifter The rear end is an 8 ¾ with 3.55 gear ratio with Moser Axles The interior is true to original with Black Bucket seats with full console Steering is power assist with a 14:1 ratio out of a AAR Cuda and aids in the comfortable control Stopping power is generated by standard front and rear drums- li- The wheels are fabulous 17 and 18 inch replicas of Chrysler Magnum 500 It rolls around on new Kumho blackwall radial tires In the dash is a correct Thumb Dial AM radio The dash includes fuel, temp, amp, and factory tach with excellent trim and lettering The exhaust note is generated by a full dual system that starts with factory manifolds and calls out via the oval tips Finished in original and correct Bright Red with Black vinyl top The hood is a reproduction of the lit off fiberglass hood with the correct A12 hood scoop and pins while it is hinged The look is accented with a chrome front and rear bumpers with drivers side outside rear view mirror The steering wheel is a correct 3 spoke simulated wood that is comfortable and of course the horn goes "Beep-Beep" The engine bay is detailed to original trim and trunk has mat, jack and spare Don't miss out on an opportunity to pick up one of the more rare body styles out there that is ready to enjoy today
