1987 Nissan Pulsar NX NX SE

The Nissan Pulsar NX was Nissan's first car designed in its San Diego North American design center and the team was given great latitude.It is said that if you took all the design elements of the 80's and put them in one car, it is the Pulsar:pop-up headlights, offset wheels, t-tops, funky brake lights, and of course it is the world's only production modular car.This car is the initial model year with the CA16DE engine instead of the later CA18DE engine.It is the SE trim, which is the higher horsepower trim with a manual transmission.This combination: first year, twin cam engine, and a manual transmission make this the preferred version of the car for collectors.And it has AC!In addition this car is a rare SportBak model (ie a wagon back).98% of these cars were notch-back vehicles and when the factory shipped a SportBak to the dealer,sometimes they were swapped (because they were modular) with a notchbackand the Sportbak went in the dumpster!Of course that makes them the more rare and highly prized today.Finally, this car has the Erebuni aero body kit, widely regarded asthe "only aero kit that looks good [on the Pulsar]..."This Pulsar has the only complete Erebuni kit that includes thematching front bumper cover known to exist today.$20k has gone into restoring this car over the past three years, includinga full body shop paint job, new brakes, struts, tie rods, axles,complete HVAC system, fuel tank, pump and system,17" low profile wheels and tires, LED headlights, BT radio,carbon fiber wrapped dash and t-tops plus the original white t-tops.Engine purrs and runs great with smooth shifting manual transmission.Selling it to focus on my other Pulsar NX project, a 1987 XE model.Paint and exteriorWhite with white Erebuni aero body kit.Black carbon t-top roofs plus an extra set of white t-top roofs.Black carbon fiber wrapped tail lights.Upholstery and interiorOriginal dark grey herringbone cloth chairs.
