Rare Maple Yellow exterior over Bamboo interior. California born and raised, still has its original California blue plates! This Benz has spent its ENTIRE life in Hollywood, California. Last May, I flew out to Los Angeles and drove her all the way back home to Salt Lake City. Zero issues, of course! These wagons are certainly becoming increasingly scarce to find in good condition. Usually the interiors are beat, they haven't been maintained properly, and the RUST is what absolutely devours them. This TD on the other hand has defied the odds and has been extremely well-preserved! I just spent around $3000 on getting her up to par at a well-known local Mercedes shop. Including a complete rebuild of the rear brakes, upgraded glow plugs, power windows fixed, sway bar, belts, valve adjustment, alternator, battery, fuel lines, filters, oil change, and tires...I have the receipt for a majority of that work done. All OEM parts. (See photos on Drive) The previous owner also spent a pretty penny on having the front end completely rebuilt, including suspension components, also with OEM parts. She floats down the road and truly drives like a Mercedes should! Such a great and comfortable ride! And yes, the SLS system works perfectly! Everything about this car is 100% ORIGINAL! I would feel more than comfortable driving this car to New York tomorrow! Just 224k original miles! The motor is VERY healthy and starts on the first or second crank every time! It has NEVER had anything run through it besides DIESEL- no veggie oil crap. There is VERY little blow-by. No smoke from the tailpipe either! She purrs like a kitten and shifts through all gears flawlessly! The interior is pretty damn nice. With all that being said- she is nearing 45 years old, and is not without minor issues. The exterior has some small chips and dents, but is overall very straight. Nothing out of the ordinary for the age of the car. Unfortunately, at some point the hood flung up and caused some damage at the hinge section of the hood- It does NOT affect the way the hood closes, and would look a lot better visually with some touch up paint. This is the worst of the exterior flaws. The cruise control does not work, and the driver seat has been swapped with another 300TD seat, but matches decently. The AC doesn't work, but the system is all there, just needs to be brought back to life. Everything that "matters" works. Power windows, radio, windshield wipers, dash gauges, SLS, etc. $5,000 is more than fair for this AMAZING classic! CLEAN Utah Title in-hand, original maintenance booklets as well.
