This is a 1984 Mercedes Benz 300D "survivor" with 223,669 original miles. This is an original California car that is 100% rust free since new.

BTW '84 happens to be the best year for the 123 diesel due to the fact is did not come equipped with a trap oxidizer (like the '85) to meet higher emission standards.

The car starts right up and runs extremely well! It comes factory equipped with a 3.0 liter, 5 cylinder "bulletproof" Diesel engine. These engines are well known for their durability and can go up to 1,000,000 miles without a single rebuild. The 300 D has excellent power and drives superbly down the road. The transmission shifts on time through all the gears and pulls like a train. The brakes, steering and suspension are in proper working order.

-Power windows, power passenger mirror and sunroof all work

-The air conditioner blows strong ice cold air and the heater warms up the cabin quickly

-All gauges report accurate readings

-Hygienic engine bay

-All fluids are clean and all up to par

-The factory radio does turn on but will need attention

-The vacuum operated locks will need attention

-All four tires have decent tread remaining but are older and should be replaced soon

The Mercedes is completely un-touched and as original as they come.

All of the paint is original with a lovely shine with just the right amount of patina. A vehicle is only original once. With that being said there are cosmetic imperfections that are to be expected, most or all of which can be seen in the pictures below, they consist of chips,nicks, scrapes, fading, dings, clear coat peeling, hazing, etc. The overall appearance is outstanding!
