This is an original 100% rust freeCalifornia1980 Mercedes Benz 300 SD Turbo Diesel with 136,898 original miles

These are the last of the handmade Mercedes Benz and the final year of production for the w-116 body.

The 3.0 liter turbo charged inline 5 cylinder diesel engine starts right up and runs extremely well! The idle is smooth. There are no apparent leaks, smoke, overheating or any unusualnoises. The entire drive trainis solid and tight.The automatic transmission shifts properly into all gears.The brakes, steering and suspension are in good working order.The air conditioning, vacuum operated locks, power windows (drivers window goes up and down the others will most likely need regulators-passenger window goes down but needs aid going up) and the power antenna (stays up) will need service.

The current odometer reading is 136,898 miles....which is a fraction of what these engines are capable of doing. They are notoriousfor going up to 1,000,000 miles without a singlerebuild.

Cosmetically this 300 SD looks great! The structural integrity is superb and the frame is rock solid. The body and chassis, floors and wheels wells are 100% rust free, the beauty of an original California car. There is no a singleblister or bubble anywhere whatsoever. The paint finish has a glossy finish. As with any pre-owned vehicle there are minor dings, dents, chips, scratches, scrapes, hazing, fading, touch ups and nicks......

The overall appearance of this 300 SD gets high marks for having an honest, original and authentic look.

The interior is in good original condition.
