Finished in gloss red [and a little bit of black, this R107 chassis Benz roadster features a good running engine, automatic transmission, newer black canvas convertible top, cd stereo with working electric antenna, electric window and 560SL wheels. The NON-working odometer shows 129,129 miles.Offered here at NO RESERVE, this running drivingroadsteris being sold with clear and clean California title, accident-free Carfax report and can ONLY be sold to an out of state NON-California] buyer.
THE BODY AND TRIM
This exterior of this 1983 Benz is in fair but quite dry rust-free condition overall with newer soft top and an accident-free Carfax report. As you can see in the photos, it has mismatched black hood, painted black wheels with decent rubber and some flaking off the black-painted trim. It has small dents, missing emblem, scratches fading and assorted blemishes. A concourse example it ain't! NOTE: I also have a gold factory hardtop in very good condition available for additional cost!
THE INTERIOR
The interior of this 380SL is in fair condition overall with NON-working odometer, working cd stereo and electric antenna, NON-Benz seats, tattered carpets, dash cracks, inop horn and driver window and miscellaneous other defects. There is NO key but starts easily with a screw driver
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1983 Mercedes starts fairly easily with good running engine once warmed up. The transmission is sketchy especially in reverse, the brakes just barely work [hard pedal/needs booster], the steering feels quite good. It actually goes down the road fairly well. Fix it up or use as a donor parts car.
