RELIST Mercedes 380 SL, new carpet, lots work done, runs and drives, NO RESERVE

1985 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 380

THE CAR IS BEING RELISTED. Ebay cancelled the first auction as the carfax apparently indicates previous salvage history. I have a clean south carolina title for the car in our name, it is NOT branded, and I am unsure of the previous salvage indication on carfax. They indicate it was in 1992 and in florida. In a brief lookup, it appears that Hurricane Andrew was 92 and in florida. Maybe related, I dont know, but we have been all over the car and I simply do not see ANY signs of damage. The issues with the car are exactly what is listed, it is a genuine and honest listing. If you would like to come see it before bidding, WE WELCOME this... please do. I had no idea of the history, and I went to the gentleman we bought it from who owned it for more than 15 years. He also knew nothing of the previous past, and again we have a CLEAN south carolina title and the title has ALWAYS been clean here. Either way, it is exactly as listed and BEWARE of the carfax past. I will assume its real for the sake of the sale and auction, but doubtful in reality. I suspect it was collateral damage in the mass losses of Andrew and am doubtful of any real damage. Again, I have no clue but just putting two and two together in 1992 and florida. With all of this said buyer beware and feel free to inspect or do whatever is needed for your diligence in this project. It runs and drives and is exactly as listed.

This car is a great candidate to restore or just make a driver out of it. It runs and drives, just was serviced, and see above for the issues. All and all, it is a decent car. This is an honest description and is exactly as described. All of the lights and and so on work properly, the AC does not blow cold, though I do not know why, maybe a recharge, or maybe bad compressor, i do not know. The carpet set was installed last week, it is brand new and the high quality german set. It looks great as seen in the photos. The floor pans were in good shape and no issues relating there. It could likely be driven most anywhere home, or we are also happy to help ship it if needed. I cannot guarantee obviously any mechicals or whatever on driving it home, but do not have any suspicions of issues relating to any problems. I am not sure what else we can tell you, we do have the floor mats, and it is just what it is. The seats under the covers are not in good condition, but not torn up and could be easily recovered. We have the missing trim pieces in the photos. Sorry, forgot to reinstall. They are included. The chrome also is in GREAT condition. We are not a dealer, this car is in our name and clean title in hand.
