Vehicle Details

1987 Jeep Comanche, long bed, 4x4, 5-speed transmission, 4.0L inline 6cylinder. Stalled project, tons of new parts, everything needed to complete. Very solid example, very little rust - needs front driver's floor (have the panel) and there was a patch installed on the passenger's floor the size of an iphone - the rest is SOLID. The truck was 2x4 when I bought it in January of 2020. I swapped the front axle, transmission and transfer case to 4x4. While I had everything apart I installed a new Moroso high-capacity oil pan (and fresh oil & filter) and a Rough Country lift. Since I had the transmission out, I put in a new clutch, pressure plate, pilot bushing, slave cylinder, master cylinder, transmission mount and all new hard lines. The water pump, radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses, coil pack, idler pulley, fuel filter and distributor are all brand new as well. The brake lines were all replaced with a pre-bent stainless kit, as well as new extended brake hoses to accomodate the lift. The rear axle hasn't been lifted because I never got around to finishing the 4x4 swap. When I put the front end in, I used a Dana 35 with 3.55 gears which didn't match the Comanche 3.07 rear. I have a Comanche-specific SUA 3.55 rear end that hasn't been installed. I don't have the long bed 4x4 rear driveshaft, but I do still have the 2x4 long bed driveshaft which could be shortened. I have a set of new 2" drop shackles to go with the add-a-leaf kit. I also installed a brand new Walker exhaust system front to back (with new factory hangers) with the exception of the manifold, but both manifold gaskets were changed. I have a set of JCR bumpers, the rear isn't pictured, but it has the trailer hitch receiver. Parts that are included, but not installed include: new fuel injectors, new bump stops for read axle, new LED headlights and 50" LED light bar. The 33x12.5R15 Dirt Commander tires are new-ish and have less than 500 miles on them. All of the bodywork was done from the cab forward and is in high-build primer, ready for wet 400 sanding. No dents or rust, neither fenders nor bed have been cut. The interior is in good shape as well. The seat and door panels are nice, all the plastic and trim is included, as well as a heavy duty rubber floor liner. Dash has no cracks. This Comanche is very close to being finished, I just lost interest. If you have any questions feel free to ask
