Dennis Buys Classic Cars is pleased to offer one of the icons of automotive design: The 1958 Jaguar Mark Vlll. It's sweeping lines are reminiscent of Rolls-Royces of this era. It is a true beauty and a head turner whenever it is taken out on the road.This one has the 3.4 Liter Overhead Cam straight six, twin SU carbs with Automatic transmission.This car was sitting for a few years so there were a few things that it needed to get it running properly. Here is a list of what we have done to it and I am sure I am leaving out something: Freeze plugs, belts, voltage regulator, battery, battery cables, keys, carbs rebuilt, new fuel pumps, fuel gauge senders, fuel gauge repair, master cylinder, calipers, brake lines, water rail, gas tank renew, rear shocks, rear leaf springs, U-Joints, all fluids and filters, plugs, points.
While this is a true California Black Plate car with the floors, trunk, frame rails, inner fenders and shock towers being rust free, there is some paint bubbling here and there and some minor surface oxidation. The body is extremely straight with no evidence of any major accident. Paint would be considered driver quality. We have a clean California title in hand.The car starts up reliably and runs very well. It shifts well in all gears and suspension, shocks and steering feel great.
