1965 Jaguar E-Type

This first year of the 4.2 engine Jaguar is a numbers-matching example of a beautiful driver-quality car. The odometer shows 49885 miles and the previous owner believed this to be original, but no way to verify this. It has undergone many restoration proceedures over the years. Before I owned it, the previous owner had the car completely stripped and had good quality body work and full paint done. The color now is a take on British Racing Green, but is lighter in tint. The interior is almost all new, with the original sand, or beige color seats, panels, carpet, soft-top and boot cover. I have had the center console recovered, as well as the center dash panel wrapped in the original type vinyl to match the left and right sides. The radio is a Retrosound MP3 classic style. The engine was also rebuilt and appears to have very little mileage on it since the overhaul. The gearbox is smooth and may also have been rebuilt.
Jaguar Denver has done this work and much more, including them replacing the clutch hydraulic cylinders and adding a front of the radiator electric fan, to compliment the original factory fan. Also, we sent out several of the gauges for rebuilding and now all function properly and look like new.
During the restoration process, they appeared to have been meticulous in keeping with all the original Jaguar features. The chrome spoke wheels are new and correct size. All the proper nickel/silver-cad plating has been done to the engine room components and rear suspension. Being an early model 1965 production, the front A-arms are the original black color instead of plated. I have receipts for all work done and parts, since I have owned the car.

This is not in overall perfect condition, there is paint patina, chrome on the taillights is slightly pitted and could use a rechrome, there are a few minor dings, the boot-lid has been slammed down to latch due to poor adjustment of the latch and so there is a soft dent at the center rear area. Also, previous body work to the left side cowl area in front of the door was not done properly and there is a small gap to the contour of the bonnet. The front floor panels have had some work done. None of this is hardly noticeable, except up close.

This car would also be a great base for a full restoration and even perhaps put it back to it's original exterior color of opalescent golden sand.

This car runs very strong and is a pleasure and much fun to drive.
I have photos of the engine numbers, and body number. **I also have included a photo of the Heritage Certificate.
I also own a 1967 E-type roadster which has been undergoing a complete restoration for the past 2 years and is now almost ready to come home with me. I need to make room in my garage for this car and an Austin Healey 3000, which is also being restored. I have to sell both the 65 Jag. and my 67 Sunbeam Alpine(on Ebay now).

Due to the limited number of photos I can post in this ad, I can provide interested parties additional photos, as well as answer questions about this car. Please contact me through Ebay, or call direct at 303-988-5780
