Description:

1965 Ford Mustang

Just over 900 miles since a ground up restoration with many great upgrades.
EXTERIOR: This is a hot looking fastback, I love the colors. The body is completely straight, I don't see any signs of damage or rust. Smooth panels everywhere. It has a Shelby scooped hood, quarter panel scoops and lower valance air dam. The blue metallic paint is laid out very evenly. The clear coat finish is polished to a very high gloss. The over the top racing stripes are painted on from tip to tip. The chrome has been replaced- grill, bullet mirrors, door handles, tail lights, bumpers and gas cap. Weather strips and window seals were replaced. New windshield. There's 17 inch Billet Specialty wheels with Firestone tires.
INTERIOR: Restored interior with some nice custom upgrades. I got to say these seats are exceptionally comfortable. They have all new custom cushion and three tone upholstery. Custom made door panels to match. All the metal trim is painted blue like the outside. Overhead the visors, headliner and mirrors have been replaced. In back the side panels are new, has a custom upholstered rear deck. There is a hump hugger console in the middle with an armrest cushion and cup holders. In front of me is a set of blue digital gauges, cushion grip steering wheel and custom stereo. It looks like an original AM/FM, it has modern insides. It has kick panel speakers and big speakers in the rear deck. Headliner, carpet, dash pad all look good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Absolutely fresh motor with over $7,000 just spent on it. It's a 351 Windsor bored 60 over, 10:1 compression, has aluminum Edelbrock heads Edelbrock carb, Ford electronic ignition and a set of long tube headers. In front it has billet pulleys and brackets and upgraded power steering system. It has a chrome plated power brake system. An aluminum radiator and overflow bottle with an electric fan keeps it running cool. New heat and air conditioning system keeps the passengers cool. The engine bay is all blue, new splash aprons.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been fully carpeted, even up the side walls. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy.
UNDERSIDE: Completely restored underneath. The floors are sealed with chip gaurd paint that was color matched to the car. Upgraded with a Mustang ll front end. It has tubular control arms with coil over gas adjustable shocks and rack & pinion steering. In back it has new leaf springs and Fox gas adjustable shocks. The bottom of the motor is clean, has high torque starter. The C-4 automatic trans was rebuilt and painted to match the car. U-joints are new. Has a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear with a cruiser gear ratio. Completely replaced brake system with disc at all four wheels. Has stainless braided hoses. New fuel system including tank, lines and sending unit. Has a great sounding Flowmaster exhaust system. All metal floors were prepped and painted with a color matched chip gaurd.
