1950 Ford Other Pickups

We just acquired 4 vehicles from an 80 car collection in Texas, this is one of them. Beautiful truck with great features!
EXTERIOR: Great stance, color is gorgeous in the sun, the wheels glisten. Presents itself like a show car. All metal body and fenders, the hood is louvered. I didn't find any damage, bubbles or cracking. It is straight and fits nice. The paint is gorgeous. The metal flake sparkles, the clear coat is polished so slick it looks like you could dive right into it. All of the trim has been replaced. Up front it has a polished stainless grill, headlight bezels and trim on the sides of the hood. The door handles are new. In back it has new original style tail lights, polished license plate frame. All new smoked glass. New rubber gaskets and weatherstrips. Those big Colorado Custom wheels are highly polished and have bevel cut spokes to really twinkle. Wrapped in Toyo performance tires, bigger in back. Front- 225 55 17, back- 255 45 18. Custom polished bumpers front and back.
INTERIOR: Inside the cab was completely painted like the same glossy burgundy color. It has a very comfortable seat with fold-down armrest and some custom embroidery. The dash is beautiful, all the chrome sparkles. Has a custom steering wheel and a polished tilt column. Nice looking white face gauges. The air conditioning controls and vents are neatly installed on a custom made panel below the dash. Has custom pedals and a Lokar emergency brake on the floor. The shifter is cool, looks like an old farm truck shifter, it even has a 3 speed ball. Actually it is easy to shift through all 6 speeds. It also includes retractable 3 point seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Chevy big block power. Has a great running 454, runs strong. Fires right up, idles perfect. Has an Edelbrock carb on a polished intake, HEI ignition with neatly run wires. Long tube headers feed the exhaust. Great looking finned aluminum valve covers. Upfront it has polished pulleys, chrome alternator, chrome a/c compressor. An aluminum radiator with electric fan and polished overflow bottle keeps it running cool. It has power steering. The firewall, and engine are painted the color of the truck.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed has perfect metal painted beautifully. and stainless hardware and floor strips holding refinished oak floorboards. The gas filler is relocated to the floor of the bed. The tailgate is fixed, does not open.
UNDERSIDE: It was a body off the frame build. Upfront it looks like it has a Heidts independant front end with tubular control arms, coil over shocks and rack & pinion steering. In back it has new suspension with lowering blocks, traction bars, leaf springs and new shocks. Bottom of the motor is clean, has high torque starter. It's attached to a 6-speed transmission. Has a great sounding Flowmaster exhaust system. The brake system is upgraded with drilled and slotted discs at all four wheels. Has custom e-brake assembly. The chassis is all cleaned and painted.
I've always been a fan of the Chevy trucks of this era. This Ford has won me over. Great looks, condition and features. Where are you going to get a frame off restored custom truck with a big block, 6 speed and air for under $50,000? Right here, that's where!
