THANK YOU FOR CHECKING OUT MY BEAUTIFUL 1941 FORD PICKUP IN THISNO RESERVE AUCTION. This truck is an absolute joy to cruise around in! Be ready to receive lots of smiles and thumbs up everywhere you drive it!
About a year ago, I purchased this truck from Harold and Joan who live in a small town near me in Oregon. After years of ownership, Harold decided it was time to restore his beloved truck. It took a few years, but a complete nut and bolt restoration was performed. During the restoration, all of the mechanical components were either replaced or rebuilt including the motor. (Motor is believed to be original) He completed the restoration around 2006 and used the truck on Sunday drives, an occasional car show or parade. After a couple years of enjoying the truck, Harold moved on to other projects and the truck was in storage for many years. Last summer, Joan decided it was time to clean out the garage. My son and I went to look at the truck and had to have it.This truck shows the pride and joy of yesteryear and needs to be both preserved and enjoyed. Most importantly, it needs to be seen on the road, to be loved and enjoyed by many.

After a trip to the bank, we loaded the '41 on the trailer and brought the truck home. After a good cleaning and inspection, we changed all of the fluids, gave it a tune up, and have been enjoying our time in the truck ever since. The more I am around it, the more I can see and appreciate the time and attention to detail Harold put into restoring this truck, especially underneath. This truck is GORGEOUS!
This is an extremely solid, rust free truck. The Ford has been stored inside and the older restoration shows fantastic. The body is very straight, solid, and the paint shines very nice. I have highlighted any imperfections that I could find in the body and/or paint in the pics below. There was some minor rust repair performed on both floor boards when it was restored. The floor panels have had new metal patched in. (Very nice work, see pictures below) All of the body panels line up extremely well and there is consistency in all of the clearances. Stunning body lines! The door jams are extremely nice and clean. From the rocker panels to under the hood, everything is extremely nice and solid. The glass is all good and is free from any major chips or cracks. The tailgate is very nice, straight and solid. The tailgate jams and inside bed jams are extremely nice. Remember, the bed is single wall construction and shows the original spot welds on the bed sides as they were in 1941 and have not been filled or anything like that. When it was restored, a wood floor was put in the bed and a metal floor was fabricated to lay inside the bed over the wood. Fantastic work that looks OEM original and is great for the usability and longevity of the truck! The bed has a spray in bed liner that looks really sharp. Inside the bed, there is a panel to access the fuel sending unit. They were thinking ahead, no dropping the tank for future maintenance. This is an extremely solid, rust free truck that looks fantastic!
Please take the time to view all of the pictures and see how truly nice this truck is EVERYWHERE!! The undercarriage is very original, extremely clean and dry. There are no leaks!! The original style suspension and rear end are a time capsule. 1941 never looked so good!
The engine bay has been highly detailed and the flathead V8 is painted in the original factory color. Everything shows extremely well and is very sanitary and functional. While the flathead V8 is a simple engine, it's simplicity shows the beauty of innovation. The original oil bath air cleaner is included as well as an aftermarket air cleaner that is on the truck now.
The interior boasts original style and function with classic timeless looks and has been completely restored. It even still has the original steering wheel column lock with key that functions! The interior, including the headliner, is period correct and looks very nice. The windshield and side glass are all in very nice shape. No major chips or cracks, very nice. The rubber floor covering is in excellent condition, is functional, and looks period correct for this truck. The windshield wipers do work, but are very slow and temperamental. I never addressed this as I don't drive the truck in the rain. The heater works and blows hot. The headlights and the gauges look nice and seem to function well. The aftermarket gas gauge works but is a bit temperamental and should not be relied upon for its accuracy.
How does she run and drive? The motor runs very well and sounds nice. There are no strange sounds, ticks, or smoke. It fires right up when cold and has a nice subtle tone. It can be a bit temperamental when starting warm, but has always started and runs great after startup. (sticky float?) Never really bothered me but want complete transparency. It has period correct fat white wall bias ply tires that look like new with lots of tread. It drives like a 1941 truck, not the smoothest, but how one would expect a nice example of this vintage truck to perform. The clutch feels great and works properly, however I seem to grind gears more often then not. (non synchronized) The funny part is my friend who is 75 has no problems going through the gears. The brakes work well but it doesn't stop like a newer car with power disc brakes. This truck tracks nice and straight down the road. It doesn't wander or pull. The steering is tight and predictable. Overall this truck runs and drives very well.

I have done my best to accurately describe my 1941 Ford both in writing and as documented by over 100+ detailed photographs. I think you will get the idea of everything this great truck is, and what it is not. That being said, this is a vintage truck that is over 70 years old and will not perform or drive like a new Mercedes Benz and is sold as is. Please read the entire ad, study the pics, and contact me if you have questions BEFORE YOU BID. This is offered in a NO RESERVE auction and the top bidder will own it. I reserve the right to end the auction early if an acceptable offer is made to buy it now. The title is not in my name but has been properly released by Harold and Joan and is accompanied with a bill of sale to the new owner.
