1930 Model A-V8 Briggs Town Car.


Elegant stock appearance with great performance. All steel body. Frame off not long ago: undercarriage still looks like it.

Looks stock: Drives like a traditional hotrod from the 50s (only with far more amenities and comfort).
California, then to Arizona: Always dry and rust-free. Built by Roy Sheridan, hot rod buddy to the legendary Ed Farrell. A real joy to drive. So much done to the car in the last year.
V8: 1942, 59A (24 bolt) Flathead, Hardened Seats, SS Valves, Adjustable Lifters. About 100+HP.

Everything works. Nearly everything is New/Rebuilt (professionally) on this car except the flathead engine (rebuilt 13,000 ago) since having been under our custodianship. A pleasure to drive Summer or Winter. Zero rust anywhere.

Small wear mark on seat side. Got a chip in the windshield that looks like a small caliber bullet above the Gas Rationing "A" tag from WWII. Not a hole, but adds something to the look that I like. Top insert has been repaired in two areas, and in another 2-5 years ought to be replaced or sooner if left out in weather. Driver, so there are some scratches, chips and signs of a car being used, rather than shown only. You are not buying a Pebble Beach Show Car, but a car that gets plenty of looks, especially when started given that it looks like a slow-moving Banger, but fires like a glass-packed flattie. The car is by everyday driver standards a real beauty!

A personal note: This is a classic Hot Rod, the way they used to build a performance car.
(There are four functional sets of seatbelts under the cushions.)

I am disinclined to mention the reason for sale as it will likely cause some to think that there is an opportunity to bid exceedingly low. Suffice to say, it is owing to illness.

Just a whole bunch of extra parts: some new and some used and good, including original distributor with points set and functional for quick bolt-on, tire tube, an aluminum radiator - new 4 row I was in the process of making an adjustment to for fit when I decided to have the brass radiator redone. 2 spare axles. I can't even remember all the stuff. Etc. Etc.

Many receipts, but nearly all electronic. Buyer will get a disc spun-up with an extensive file.
