Call Erick at 678-908-6006 with any questions. Thanks! | 1949 Ford F1$15,900 Vehicle Video BEAUTIFUL DRIVER, LOW MILES, ORIGINAL FLATHEAD V8, 3-ON THE FLOOR, ORIGINAL WOOD BED! This is a sharp driver truck that has been fun to tool around town in. Judging by the original condition of this truck Id say the males are likely accurate! Take a look at the video inspection, pictures, and details below, then call Erick at 678-908-6006. Cosmetic - Paint/Body: Overall straight and minimal rust on the body. There are a few spots that did not get sanded perfectly before paint. She is a nice looking 10-footer. New single stage paint. (see video)
- Interior: Clean original condition interior, uncut and unmolested dash. Gauges appear to be working. Seat looks nice, no rips or tears. Nice OEM rubber floor mat.
- Glass/Windows: Crack in passenger window. All other glass is in very good original condition. Windows roll up and down easily.
- Trunk: It appears this is the original wood bed, and in excellent condition for its age.
- Undercarriage: Exceptionally clean, solid and rust free frame rails and floor pans. Very minimal rust if at all. (See video for up-close undercarriage inspection)
- Wheels/Tires: Original wheels with good tires, original hubcaps are in fair condition, new beauty rings.
Mechanical - Drivetrain: Original 239 Flathead V8 starts easily and runs strong. Noticed a belt squeak a couple times driving the truck, but other than that it runs like a sewing machine. 3-speed on the floor, transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly and the clutch feels good. The truck drives very straight with little to no play in the steering. It is an easy truck to drive and has a wonderful original feel.
- Lights/Electrical: All of the lights, headlights, and brake lights work properly. New LED turn signals were installed, but I dont think they are working. All of the original gauges seem to be in working order.
- Brakes: Brakes stop straight and strong. Emergency brake engages, but is a little weak for a steep incline.
We all love these post-war Ford trucks and this one appears to be in exceptional original condition with minimal restoration work done over the years.
