1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Station Wagon 351 Cop Motor Police Package
1988 Ford Crown Victoria LTD
1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Wagon. Very rare car optioned with the large 351 (5.8) carburetor motor, dual exhaust, limited slip differential and rear sway bar. In excellent shape with only 95,000 miles covered by one owner. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder. We can assist in arranging shipping. This Crown Victoria wagon is in very nice condition. Being a Canadian specification car it was optioned with the larger 351 motor and dual exhaust which was only available for police use in the US. Although available to civilians in Canada it was rarely ordered so it is very unusual to find a surviving example with the larger motor. It also benefits from a limited slip differential and rear sway bar. Unlike most Canadian vehicles this one has survived remarkably well due to never spending a winter in Canada. The gentleman that bought it new used it to travel from Canada to his second home in Arizona each winter. It has only covered 153,000 kilometers, so 95,000 miles.
As you would expect the body of this car is in very well preserved condition with no rust to speak of. The original paint still gleams with very few scratches and stone chips. The chrome shines showing very little pitting. The plastic hubcaps and dealer installed mud flaps are showing their age but still all present. Overall it presents very well and attracts a lot of positive attention from people that have fond memories of these when they were new.
The interior is in time warp condition. It shows no wear to the seats, door panels or headliner. Everything functions like new including the tailgate power window. The steering wheel doesn't even show any wear. It is obvious this car has only ever been used for long trips. The cigarette lighter looks to have never been used. The stereo works great with incredibly clear sound. The only negative I can find is that the dealer optioned carpet floor mats are showing their age. All owners handbooks are present in the glove compartment.
The mechanical condition of this car is very good. You could confidently fly in to collect it and drive it home across the country. I have been using it for the past 2 months as my personal vehicle because I am rather fond of it. I drove it to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and back covering around 1,000 miles last month with no reliability or drivability issues. It starts instantly hot or cold and idles very smooth. It starts and runs so effortlessly that you would think that it was fuel injected. It will happily cruise at 85 mph all day long. There are no untoward noises or driveline vibrations. It is exceptionally smooth and rides better than a Cadillac. The overdrive transmission shifts silky smooth exactly as it should with zero issues. It brakes nice and straight with plenty of stopping power. Things that I noticed are the cruise control will not work, the ac compressor belt has been removed and the exhaust has a leak towards the rear but it is not loud. The front tires are fairly new with lots of tread, the rear tires are older and around half worn. I have driven this car around 4,000 miles overall in the past 2 months with zero issues so feel confident that you should have no problems driving anywhere in it. We had a tune up done last month along with an oil and filter change approximately 1,200 miles ago.
Overall a very nice example of an LTD Crown Victoria and particularly unusual being a 351 powered wagon. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.

who we are and what we do
We are two brothersthat seek out original trucks and cars fromall acrossCanadaspecializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
We started heading North to source these vehicles several years ago due to the severe lack of such vehicles in the US in recent times due to our huge car culture. Most American barn finds have long been found and tampered with by several owners yet North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good solid original vehicles waiting to be brought back to life.
We make these great vehicles available to the US market by importing them into the US and providing all required paperwork to acquire a Clear US Title in your own name in your home State.
We also specialize insourcing Mercuryand Fargo trucks and have successfully imported and found new homes for dozens of fine original examples.
We are passionate about finding the best thatthere is and understand that ourcustomerswantto see automobiles that have not been tampered with; the moreoriginal, the better.
Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specificthatyou are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.
The business we conduct is straightforward and honest. Whether you're looking for something that'sall original, a starting point for a restoration project orsolid bones for a custom build, Bison Brothers will deliver.
