MECHANICAL
Recently Rebuilt C6 transmission
4 x 4 Works normally and has manual locking hubs
Has replacement 1971 460 Engine in good running order. (Truck originally had a 400M engine)
Brake system has new master cylinder, Front calipers, front pads, all steel brake lines were checked and replaced as needed.
One of the leafs in Right front spring is broken.
INTERIOR
Mostly original interior, good plastic door panels, bottom of drivers seat is worn on the edge.
Vinyl floor covering needs replaced. Has aftermarket plastic headliner with built in speakers (not working at this time)
Will need blower motor replaced for heater system to work
EXTERIOR
I have rebuilt several 73-79 F-series over the years, so i will go over some of the pros and cons of this particular truck. You will see rust issues in the pictures, but most of the rust issues are present on bolt on easily replaced panels. Items that are in GOOD condition are as follows: Front cab mounts, radiator support, mounting area of the inner fenders to cab, rear cab corners, nice solid hood and front fenders, rear bed side supports at tailgate opening. Lower edge of rear bed sides still solid.
Body items that need repair or replaced are as follows: Tailgate (rough condition), both front doors rusted badly at bottom edges, Lh and Rh outer rocker panels (have new ones that go with the sale, bed sides above wheel wells are just starting to rust through. Rh side of bed floor has pin holes (see pictures).
TIRES ARE AT 75% tread depth and hold air but are dry rotted from age (recommend replacement soon)
Has clean Ohio Title. Delivery options are available, but please contact me before end of auction if you have that in mind. If you are local I encourage you to come out and take a test drive.
