1975 Dodge 1/2 Ton Pickup

1975 Dodge D100 for sale with a rebuilt 225/6 and 727 TF Auto.Clean Blue TX title in my name. Engine and transmission are original to the truck. This truck has been family maintained since 1986 and owned since 2013.This truck was my late father’s shop truck that OK State Agronomy Research Station bought at a military auction in 1986.This truck spent its first ten years as an on base Air Force truck at Tinker AFB.My dad’s maintenance shop acquired it o/o 1986 where my late father worked until he retired in 2013.This truck was maintained and driven by my dad to make parts runs for the shop he was the head mechanic at.When he retired in 2013, the shop gave the keys to the truck to my dad as a retirement gift.My late father drove the truck as his primary get around vehicle until 2018 when he passed from cancer. When I acquired the truck in 2018, only 5/6 cylinders were firing as the rings in #2 cylinder had broken.I hauled the truck to El Paso, TX where I was stationed in the Army at the time and found a shop to do the engine rebuild.Engine rebuild was a stock rebuild with cylinders bored .030 over.Truck has approx 115k miles.Original speedo was working (but needle was broke) when I replaced it with current speedo that was reading 1750mi at time of purchase.Old speedo will be included with extra parts. I took a picture of the dash while the truck is running down the highway so potential buyers can see gauges work minus the oil pressure gauge. Being this is a base model truck, it came with a dash with oil pressure light and is wired for that. I bought an instrument cluster dash that had the needle gauge but found out I needed a different pressure sensor off the oil pump for that gauge to work. The original instrument cluster is included as well with the extra parts, just not shown in the pics.

Truck originally came with a 1BBL carb set up.I swapped to the 2bbl intake and and after a couple of Carter BBD carb changes, decided to put on a Holley 2300 Avenger with manual choke (choke cable lever needs mounted under the dash). When I installed the manual choke cable, I never got around to mounting the cable bracket but will include the bracket with the extra parts.Living here in NE TX, I hardly need the choke in the summer and winter only ever needed partial choke.Engine runs like a sewing machine when idling and revs well going down the highway. This is a non-factory A/C truck, however heater works excellent. The heater control cable is seized but you can open hood and turn heater hose valve on by hand; I normally do this once winter is here and just turn it off in spring.I have put a lot of time and money into this truck to make it daily roadworthy.Sentimental value aside, I am to the point in my life where this truck no longer suits my daily truck needs with my growing family. Truck spends more time sitting than being driven due to most of my errands require me to take one of my toddlers with me when I go some place, however I do take truck out when available. I live off a Farm to Market road so all key places are 8-9 highway miles either direction of my house. As with any classic truck, this vehicle will need some preventive maintenance to stay daily ready but can still be driven.I will include all the key maintenance receipts of work done on this truck as well as my mini notebook of maintenance notes.I am selling with extra parts needed for an interior redo.Being this is a southern truck, it has very minimal rust. This truck would also be good for someone who is good with carbs and carb/engine timing and tuning. The slant 6 is not a power house, but it will get the truck down the road. This truck is a great run around town or run to Home Depot vehicle.

Buyer is responsible for shipping set up. I have done one contract shipping of this truck from El Paso, TX to Terrell, TX with no issues. Will release truck for shipping (if not local purchased) when funds clear my bank account.
