Very rare body style of that year with original side mounts covers, fender skirts.

I bought the car in 2012 from this car dealer:

Since then, here is the list of repairs and upgrades I did over the years:

New tires and tubes

New 4 brake cylinders and new master brake cylinder

New brake shoes and hoses

New 4 wheels bearings

Replaced worn differential with a good unit, having gears correctly adjusted

Replaced generator with a 6v positive ground alternator

New 6v coil

Installed two yellow top optima batteries in parallel (seen in underframe pic) for more amperage

Cleaned radiator, made a radiator shroud for better cooling at low speed

・Added an exhaust pipe for crankcase gases flow to the rear (the shiny aluminium flexible pipe in the pics)

Removed and cleaned fuel tank, coated with special anti-rust fuel tank paint

New fuel level sender in the fuel tank

Replaced water pump

New fuel pump

Rebuilt carburetor

Replaced air filter with K&N unit to better preserve motor from dust

Replaced piston rings in one cylinder that was burning oil. The car still burns a small amount of oil

Overall, not an issue for regular driving and no problems with plugs.

Greased steering box, did regular brake fluid changes

Transmission oil changes

Installed a small 6v->12 low current accessory voltage converter

Added tiny turn signals at the rear only

Car was always driven with soft cloth seat cover to preserve the interior cloth

Maintenance done in 2023:

Replaced and adjusted distributor points

Topped transmission oil

Brake fluid change in November 2023

Engine oil change (20-50w with two bottles of ZDDP-plus)

Additional spare parts included in the sale

Spare carburetor. Really not needed, but I still bought one when I saw a rebuilt unit pop on ebay.

Spare water pump

Complete set of new stainless steel brake lines

Wheel bearings

Extra brake shoes

Extra hood ornament

Extra piston rings in the correct size (engine was rebored sometimes in the past)

・1935 and 1936 LaSALLE original shop manuals

Overall, the car runs fine, brakes very good and steers very well. Steering is quite light compared to the larger Cadillacs of that year. I worked hard to make sure braking is up to standard and well maintained.

Paint is fine but not perfect there are some imperfections, scratches. No dings on the body.

Some light pitting chrome parts. Paint is an older job that looks fine from a normal distance but a close inspection will show its age and small imperfections. No paint cracks.

The interior was redone new at some point and is in greatcondition.

The rear foldable seat for 1 person operates fine and can be seen from one of the interior photo

Speedometer, temperature and gas gage all work fine.

Ampere meter has been disconnected from voltage regulator as its not used anymore.

The car runs quiet with the large muffler as per photo, but at some point, I tried straight pipes with no muffler at all and here is how it sounds in the video, it also gave a noticeable low rpm torque increase. Driving it wasn’t overly noisy due to the side valve design of the engine acting as a muffler. Unless you have super sensitive ears, running the car with straight pipes will be a lot of fun.

Known issues:

Driver side vent window handle is broken, the vent window can be closed or opened by hand directly but in the open position it is somewhat loose.

Engine runs fine but is a bit tired and burns a small amount of oil. Oil may need to be changed more frequently as it gets dirty quicker than a newly rebuilt engine, other than that no major issues impacting regualr driving.

Windshield wipers don’t wor, typical for a California car
